Job Description

This IT Helpdesk Engineer role requires strong AWS security expertise. Responsibilities include providing on-site and remote IT support (hardware, software, network troubleshooting), managing device compliance via MDM, handling IT administrative tasks (system setup, configurations, user training), monitoring and securing AWS infrastructure, conducting security audits, implementing corrective actions for vulnerabilities, overseeing email security (DKIM, DMARC, SPF), responding to security incidents using SIEM, and supporting IT operations to ensure SOC 2 and GDPR compliance. The ideal candidate will have proven IT helpdesk experience, hands-on AWS security and infrastructure management experience, familiarity with email security protocols and phishing prevention, knowledge of security monitoring tools and incident response, and understanding of compliance frameworks.

Description

We are looking for an IT Helpdesk Engineer with a strong background in AWS security to join our team. This role combines hands-on IT support with maintaining and securing AWS infrastructure. You will ensure smooth technical operations while contributing to the security and compliance of our systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite and remote IT support, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Manage and maintain device compliance through Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
  • Assist with IT administrative tasks such as system setup, configurations, and user training.
  • Monitor and secure AWS infrastructure, ensuring adherence to security best practices.
  • Conduct routine AWS security audits, identify vulnerabilities, and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee email security, including configurations of DKIM, DMARC, and SPF for phishing prevention.
  • Respond to security incidents, such as phishing attempts or unauthorized access, using monitoring tools like SIEM.
  • Support IT operations, ensuring compliance with security frameworks like SOC 2 and GDPR.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT helpdesk support, including troubleshooting and device management.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS security and infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with email security protocols (DKIM, DMARC, SPF) and phishing prevention techniques.
  • Knowledge of security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM, MDM) and incident response.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and GDPR.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills to support technical and security needs.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with basic scripting or automation for IT operations.
  • Background in implementing or maintaining compliance standards for cloud-based environments.
  • Ability to balance IT support tasks with security-focused responsibilities.
