Job Description

① Responsible development area, business overview, and role/position within R&D

This is a cloud system maintenance, operation, and quality control department. The team is divided into roles for:

• Budget management
• Support desk
• System operation

② Specific job duties and expected role/position within and outside your department

• Discovery, root cause analysis, and recovery of failures
• Monitor the operational status and service quality of cloud systems to detect failures.
• Obtain and analyze logs from the system to identify the cause.
• Escalate to the appropriate development department and respond to ensure no user impact when a failure occurs.
• While no coding is performed, it is required to understand the system architecture and logically explain incidents to internal engineering departments.
• Quality control and data provision
• Monitor service quality, detect abnormal signs such as performance degradation trends, and implement necessary countermeasures.
• Analyze data obtained during the quality control process and provide reports to other departments.
• Operation Project Management
• Projects related to preparing for new services and new region deployments.
• Projects for OTA (Over The Air) delivery of software remotely.
• Handle inquiries and incidents related to connected services using a ticket system.
• Project management for new projects and improvement processes.

This team consists of Nissan engineers and partner companies. Many Nissan engineers are mid-career hires from IT and infrastructure companies. Those with experience in budget allocation, design, outsourced design, verification, and deployment as in-house SEs at operating companies are also active. Individuals who have served as leaders at support desks are also successful. There are many opportunities for English communication, including meetings with partner companies (including offshore) and regions where connected cars and services are deployed. Requirements

MUST

• Knowledge and experience in operating cloud systems (platforms/applications) or knowledge and experience in operating systems.
• Experience in customer negotiation as an engineer.
• Team leader experience.
• Communication skills to correctly understand what the other person is saying and convey what you want to say in Japanese and English.

Automotive industry experience: Preferred.

Annual Salary Range: Monthly Salary (Reference Value)

230,000 JPY to 439,000 JPY
