Job Description

We are looking for an IT Project Coordinator. This role involves maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resources, organizing and leading meetings, delivering presentations, and ensuring the timely delivery of IT projects. Responsibilities include identifying risks, coordinating client projects, communicating plans, developing processes, and maintaining client relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience with IT projects and a strong understanding of technical concepts, excellent communication skills, and project management experience.
Must have:
  • Prior experience with a Managed Services Provider (MSP).
  • 5-6 years of Technical Support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server environments.
  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems.
  • Understanding of core networking concepts.
  • Strong communication skills for IT projects.
  • Ability to create and implement Group Policies.
  • Experience with migration tools.
Good to have:
  • IT certifications are a major plus.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL Administration.
  • Experience with ConnectWise RMM and IT Glue.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Location: Portland, OR
Salary: $60,000 – $85,000 upon conversion (based on certifications and experience)
Benefits: Full benefits
Type: Contract to Hire
Sponsorship Available: No – Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Most Important:

  • Prior experience working with a Managed Services Provider (MSP)

  • 5–6 years of Technical Support experience

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Enterprise platforms and Azure

  • Proficiency with Windows Server environments

  • Experience supporting Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft applications

  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud Fundamentals

  • Understanding of core networking concepts and terminology

  • Strong communication skills and experience managing technical IT projects (SOW reviews, plan approvals, resource coordination, etc.)

  • Ability to create and implement Group Policies

  • Experience with migration tools such as SkyKick or Exchange Migration Tool

Qualifications:

  • IT certifications are a major plus and will impact conversion salary

  • Basic knowledge of SQL Administration is a bonus

  • Experience with ConnectWise RMM and IT Glue preferred

  • Strong organizational skills with experience tracking budgets, schedules, and resource allocation

  • Ability to lead client-facing technical projects and coordinate both internal and external resources

  • Skilled in documenting and presenting technical objectives, progress, and risk mitigation strategies

  • Experience managing client expectations and delivering technical solutions on time and within scope

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource tracking across various IT initiatives

  • Organize and lead stakeholder meetings; document actions, decisions, and technical requirements

  • Deliver presentations and create supporting technical documentation

  • Ensure successful and timely delivery of IT projects through consistent project tracking

  • Identify and address technical risks and challenges with proactive solutions

  • Coordinate client deployment and migration projects, collaborating across teams

  • Communicate technical plans and change strategies with stakeholders and engineering staff

  • Develop processes for server migrations, cloud transitions, and systems implementations

  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout project lifecycles

  • Collaborate closely with technical leadership and support staff to align on project goals

  • Utilize project management tools for full lifecycle oversight and task management

  • Participate in continuous improvement of IT project management processes and documentation standards

  • Contribute to internal training and mentoring for technical team members
