ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re hiring a Junior Content / Meme Creator who lives and breathes internet culture to assist us on a short-term marketing project for a cartoon IP. If you scroll way too much, know your way around Twitter/TikTok/IG/Reddit, and can turn a chaotic idea into a post that makes people laugh (or gasp)—this role is for you.
We’re building a new original entertainment IP that’s irreverent, internet-savvy, and unapologetically mature. Think dark humor meets viral culture. Our team is small, ambitious, and experimenting with how content, community, and storytelling collide.
You’ll be responsible for producing a steady stream of memes, gifs, graphics, clips, and social content. You should love experimenting, iterating, and not taking yourself too seriously, while still being able to meet deadlines and ship content consistently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create memes, gifs, graphics, edits, and social posts of our comic IP tailored to internet humor and trend cycles.
- Contribute to a high volume of content across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, and other platforms.
- Brainstorm fast and turn quick ideas into shareable, funny posts.
- Keep up with internet trends, fandoms, and chaotic humor.
- Deliver content on time so our feeds never go dark (aka meet deadlines).
- Handle explicit or slightly graphic content and language comfortably (this IP is rated mature).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Portfolio or sample memes/edits (funny > polished).
- Strong sense of humor and understanding of internet/meme culture.
- Familiarity with comics, fandoms, or “brain rot” meme subcultures.
- Comfort with edgy, explicit, or graphic content/language.
- Ability to iterate fast and ship content regularly.
- Basic skills in editing tools (Photoshop, Canva, CapCut, Premiere, etc.).
- Ambitious and eager to grow.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience running TikTok/IG Reels/Twitter accounts with growth.
- Experience working in a production environment, such as Creative Agencies, Video Games, or Animation.
- Motion graphics or animation skills.
- Experience collaborating with remote teams using tools like Slack, Dropbox, and similar.
