Job Description

Join the Integrations Team as a Software Developer, contributing to the development and testing of interfaces between Motorola Solutions' products. You will extract, transform, and load data, implement high-quality code, and drive development best practices. This role involves working with systems like CAD, RMS, and Jail, primarily using Java, .NET (C#), XML, XSLT, and SQL, to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency for public safety agencies.
Must have:
  • Extract, transform, and load data between products.
  • Implement clean, high-quality code with business logic.
  • Drive development best practices, including unit testing and code reviews.
  • Identify, propose, and implement best-fit solutions.
  • Assure high standard of quality in deliverables.
  • Participate in solution lifecycle: design, development, testing, review, documentation.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Java or .NET Framework (C#).
  • Proficiency in relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development practices.
  • Familiarity with source control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with creating RESTful web services.
  • Exposure to Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA).
  • Exposure to cloud computing platforms and container orchestration tools.
  • Basic knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
  • Public safety experience, interest, or connection to police, fire, or medical emergency services.

The Response, Reporting & Evidence Software group delivers cutting-edge solutions to the public safety sector. Our mission is to empower customers—police, fire, and medical emergency services—to focus on what matters most: saving lives and protecting communities. Our team develops and supports products such as Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), Jail Management Systems, and more. The Integrations Team plays a key role in ensuring seamless communication between Motorola Solutions' products, enabling interoperability, operational efficiency, and streamlined workflows for end-users in critical environments.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Software Developer to join the Integrations Team, contributing to the development and testing of interfaces between Motorola Solutions' products. In this role, you will work on a variety of systems, including CAD, RMS, Jail, to deliver solutions that meet customer requirements.

Your work will involve:

  • Extracting, transforming, and loading data between Motorola Solutions' products to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Implementing clean, high-quality code that incorporates field mapping, filtering, triggering, and business logic for seamless system communication.
  • Driving development best practices, including unit testing, coding standards, and code reviews.
  • Identifying, proposing, and implementing best-fit solutions in a complex and evolving business environment.
  • Assuring a high standard of quality in all deliverables by leveraging process improvements, clean designs, thorough testing, and peer review practices.
  • Participating in the entire lifecycle of the solution, including design, development, testing, review, and documentation.
  • The primary technology used for integrations is Java, with additional implementations leveraging technologies such as .NET (C#), XML, XSLT, and SQL.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Java or .NET Framework (C#).
  • Proficiency in relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development practices.
  • Familiarity with source control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Advanced English proficiency, including written, conversational, and technical communication skills.

Additional Qualifications Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with creating RESTful web services.
  • Exposure to Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA).

  • Basic knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
