This Lead Corporate Communications role within the Nasdaq Financial Technology Division focuses on external communications. The role involves driving measurable results through thought leadership campaigns, advising senior executives, and supporting businesses in the APAC region. Responsibilities include developing content, recommending media strategies, building relationships with media outlets, managing media briefings, and collaborating with internal teams for product launches and client wins. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple initiatives, and working independently while collaborating globally.
Must have:

What We Offer
We have an exciting Lead Corporate Communications opportunity in the Nasdaq Financial Technology Division for corporate communications, with a focus on external comms. The role will be part of the Market Platforms strategy team to drive measurable results through impactful thought leadership campaigns. The role will act as a lead Comms advisor supporting senior executives and our businesses in the APAC region.

The role will be working closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders including business development, marketing, internal research, and enterprise communications, to help develop insightful content and provide recommendations on media strategy. 

The ideal candidate will bring knowledge, experience, and creativity on positioning Nasdaq as the premier technology partner, as well as to elevate Nasdaq’s role in the broader financial ecosystem. With deep understanding of the media landscape, the ideal candidate will help develop newsworthy and unique content that features our data, insights and subject matter experts. 
In addition to support the development and execution of external communications campaigns for the division, the role will also collaborate with other businesses within Market Platforms and help elevate Nasdaq’s brand.

Nasdaq’s Financial Technology Division is established in 2023 as a milestone and a continuation of our decade-long journey in advancing the modernization of markets. With a comprehensive portfolio of marketplace technology, surveillance, risk management and regulatory reporting capabilities, the Financial Technology business is established to be a platform partner that is scaled to help companies mitigate, manage, and capitalize on the risk, capital, and regulatory complexities of today.
 

What You Will Do

  • Drive awareness and thought leadership of Nasdaq Financial Technology Division.

  • Support the promotion of business milestones, product launches, and subject matter experts by generating earned media coverage.

  • Build credibility and profile in key areas including trading, regulation, financial technology, risk management and more.

  • Develop creative, newsworthy, and impactful media campaigns featuring our expertise and solutions.

  • Maintain and build relationships with key media outlets, journalists and influencers.

  • Proactively engage with media outlets and journalists for story ideas.

  • Write and review communications materials including press releases, pitches, social media copies and thought leadership content published on social and owned platforms.

  • Arrange, facilitate, and manage media briefings with key spokespeople on all speaking engagements.

  • Collaborate with internal collaborators across several functional areas on campaigns, product launches, client wins, and achievements.

What We Expect

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public affairs, journalism, or a related field

  • 7+ years of corporate communications experience 

  • Experience in working directly with media 

  • Knowledge in financial services and technology media landscape

  •  Proven ability to create and implement comprehensive media and thought leadership programs that support Nasdaq’s brand and overall business objectives

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, including the ability to write scripts and talking points for internal and external audiences

  •  Strategic thinking, judgment, and sound decision, with the ability to work effectively under pressure

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while working with a cross-section of colleagues

  • Ability and experience to work independently while collaborating with teams globally. 

  • Strong experience in issue management and crisis communications.

  • We are open to candidates based in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Philippines
