As a Senior Engineer in the IE-IoT connectivity & networking team, you will be responsible for owning, designing, developing, and maintaining software that implements functional aspects of networking and WLAN features on Qualcomm’s IE-IoT processors. Your role will involve requirement gathering, analysis, work scoping, project planning, and execution. You will also lead a small team for project execution and act as a point of contact, representing the team in external meetings to provide status updates. This position involves working on cutting-edge technologies, solving challenging design and performance issues, and collaborating with leading ODMs & OEMs globally under demanding timelines.
Must have:
  • 6+ years project scoping, planning, execution, and team management
  • Strong WLAN/Linux driver development experience
  • Strong design, architect, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in C programming for embedded platforms
  • Hands-on experience with real-time embedded systems
  • Networking driver development experience
  • Ethernet and Wireless LAN driver development
Good to have:
  • Experience in Firmware on small memory footprint processors
  • RF level knowledge
  • Experience in Wireless LAN protocols

General Summary:

As a Sr Engineer in the IE-IoT connectivity & networking team, you will be owning, designing, developing and maintaining software that implements functional aspects of networking and WLAN features on Qualcomm’s IE-IoT processors. You would be involved in requirement gathering, requirement analysis, scoping of the work, planning the project and execution. You will be also leading a small team for project execution and play point of contact role, represent the team in external meetings to provide status update. You will be working on cutting edge technologies, solving challenging design & performance issues and working with some of the leading ODMs & OEMs across the globe on their sometimes high pressure & tough timelines.

Skills/Experience

Overall experience of at least 6-9 years which includes minimum 6 years of project scoping, planning, execution and team management experience, and Relevant hands-on technical experience in WLAN/Linux driver development with a record of strong individual technical achievement

- Strong track record of project scoping, planning and execution.

- Strong design, architect and problem solving skills with proven record of complex system issues resolved.

- Strong experience and proficiency in C programming for embedded platforms required

- Must have hands on working experience working on real-time embedded systems

- Experience in working on Firmware in small memory footprint processors is a BIG plus

- Hands on experience in Networking driver development, Ethernet and Wireless LAN driver development

- RF level knowledge is a plus

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Experience in Wireless LAN protocols is a BIG plus

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Educational Requirements

BE/BTech/MTech in Computer Science or in Electronics preferred with proven success in a challenging academic program.
