Job Description

This role involves preparing drawings and structural calculations based on input from PEs and Process Engineers, scheduling work, and ensuring timely and error-free delivery of engineering documents. Responsibilities include resolving consultant and client comments, coordinating with PEs for approvals, managing equipment weight, resolving shop and site issues, and maintaining engineering deliverable records. The role also includes preparing RFQ for bought-out components and reviewing vendor documents.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Getting Inputs from PEs, Process Engineers for preparation of drawings and doing structural calculations.
- Scheduling the work and effectively utilizing resources to meet agreed schedule.
- Understanding the project requirement & scope of work for the project
- Delivering agreed Engineering documents in time & Error free.
- Resolution of consultant and client comments/clarification.
- Co-ordination with PEs to get approval of Engineering documents from Client/Consultant.
- Ensuring that equipment weight is within the budget.
- Resolving Shop & Site Issues
- Monitoring/Maintaining records for engineering deliverable & revision control.
- Completion of Project within the budgeted hours.
- Preparation of RFQ for bought out components.
- Vendor Document review for bought out components.
Functional Competencies:
- Supporting sales team with drawings, BOM, TQs on client specifications.
- Studying the project specification, discuss & resolve conflicts if any in the client specification, sales documents.
- Planning & Preparing Schedule for Engineering activities.
- Scheduling & Monitoring efficiently.
- Working towards first time right approach.
- Review the Design, drawings, 3D Model, customer documents meeting requirement of applicable code & standards and project specification.
- Participation in review meeting with customers.
- Resolution of client's comments through CRS and Co-ordination for Documents Approval from Client/Consultant.
- Preparation of advance material requirement for pressure parts and non-pressure parts
- Preparation of weight estimate for getting fabrication quotation.
- Reviewing detail fabrication drawings & release for fabrication/manufacturing.
- Preparing Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for prepare RFQ for bought out components like expansion joints, dampers, safety valves, demisters, FD fans, Silencers, process valves etc.
- Maintaining records, revision control for Engineering documents.
- Site Visit for attending site issue if any related to Engineering.
- Gathering Site /shop feedback making Lesson learnt, Check List to improve quality of products.
Core Competencies:
- Knowledge of Waste Heat Recovery Boilers required for SRU, SAP, FCCU, Tail Gas, BF Gas, gas/diesel engines, gas turbines.
- Knowledge of design Codes & Standards-IBR, ASME, ANSI, EN-12953, EN-12952, EN-13445, API-530,
- API 560, PED, AD2000 etc.
- Knowledge of design and drafting software tools for doing calculations and drawings- Autocad, Cadworx, Navis work, Compress, PV-ELite, Stadd Pro, CAESAR-II, Ansys.
- Working Experience and understanding their standards of Various Consultants, Licensor's like Shell, ADNOC, KOC, SAMSS, Wood, BECHTEL, Technip, Worley, JGC, Jacobs etc.
- Time and People management to meet project schedules and deliverables.
- Knowledge on Fabrication, Erection Procedure-Sequence.
- Effective Communication skill
- New product development to address market need.
- Other Job as assigned.
