InMobi is seeking a Lead - People Analytics to join their People Team in Bangalore. This role involves using data to drive people decisions, working with stakeholders to deliver insights, build reports, and shape analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, eager to learn Power BI, and proactive in exploring insights related to hiring, attrition, and workforce movement. The position requires 4-7 years of experience in data analysis or HR analytics.
Must have:
  • Build and maintain recurring and ad-hoc reports on people metrics
  • Act as the primary point of contact for reporting and insights across the People Team
  • Translate business questions into structured data analyses and dashboards
  • Maintain data quality, consistency, and hygiene across systems and files
  • Conduct exploratory analysis and hypothesis testing to uncover trends and root causes
  • Transition reports from Excel to Power BI
  • Own calculated fields, data dictionaries, and change logs
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve analytics processes
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, Greenhouse, Darwinbox)
  • Experience working with HR/People team stakeholders
  • Exposure to SQL, Python, or R

About the Role – Lead - People Analytics

We are looking for a detail-oriented and curious Lead - People Analytics to join our growing People Team. This role will play a key part in using data to drive people decisions across the organization. You will work closely with stakeholders across the People function to deliver insights, build reports, and shape our analytics capability.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data related to hiring, attrition, workforce movement, and more. They should be eager to grow into Power BI for scalable dashboarding and proactive in exploring insights that matter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain recurring and ad-hoc reports on people metrics (e.g., attrition, hiring, tenure, workforce changes).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for reporting and insights across the People Team.
  • Translate business questions into structured data analyses and dashboards.
  • Maintain data quality, consistency, and hygiene across systems and files.
  • Conduct exploratory analysis and hypothesis testing to uncover trends and root causes.
  • Transition reports from Excel to Power BI (support provided).
  • Own calculated fields, data dictionaries, and change logs.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve analytics processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivots, structuring, cleaning).
  • Exposure to Power BI or similar BI tools (with willingness to learn quickly).
  • 4–7 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or HR analytics (internships included).
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to clearly communicate insights and actions.
  • Comfort working with confidential HR data and maintaining discretion.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and collaborative approach.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, Greenhouse, Darwinbox)
  • Experience working with HR/People team stakeholders
  • Exposure to SQL, Python, or R (a plus, not mandatory)
