Job Description

The Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer will devise and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans, manage a QA team, and develop automation strategies for complex AGILE projects. This role involves designing and executing both manual and automated test cases for API web services, performing API and performance testing, and working with databases. The engineer will also utilize BDD, UI automation tools, and defect tracking systems to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Use Jenkins for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
  • Manage version control using Git.
Must Have:
  • Devise a comprehensive test strategy outlining objectives, scope, test levels, techniques, and resources.
  • Prepare a detailed test plan covering objectives, schedule, deliverables, environment setup, and resource allocation.
  • Manage the team by assigning tasks, setting priorities, monitoring progress, and providing guidance and training.
  • Develop test automation strategy for large complex projects in AGILE methodology.
  • Design, create, construct, and execute automation test cases for API web services.
  • Collaborate with product line stakeholders to develop strategies and frameworks.
  • Develop and execute manual and automated test cases based on business and technical requirements.
  • Perform API testing, both manual and automation, ensuring backend service accuracy.
  • Work with relational databases, using MySQL for querying and data validation.
  • Conduct Performance Testing using JMeter.
  • Conduct Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber with Ruby or Java to automate acceptance tests.
  • Utilize Selenium for UI automation.
  • Track defects and manage test cycles using defect tracking tools such as JIRA or TestRail.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Manual & Automation testing concepts and testing methodologies.

Position Summary

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Devises a comprehensive test strategy outlining the overall approach to testing the software application which includes the objectives, scope, test levels, test techniques and resources required for the testing process (Mandatory).
  • Prepares a detailed test plan that outlines the test objectives, schedule, deliverables, test environment setup and resource allocation. It serves as a blueprint for the testing activities and ensures that the team follows a structured approach (Mandatory).
  • Manage the team by assigning tasks, setting priorities and monitoring progress. Need to provide guidance, support and training to the team members, helping them improve their skills and productivity (Mandatory).
  • Develop test automation strategy for large complex projects in AGILE methodology (Mandatory).
  • Designing, creating Constructing and executing Automation test cases for API web services (Mandatory).
  • Collaborates with product line stakeholders to understand and develop strategies, frameworks relating to their emerging demands (Mandatory).
  • Develop and execute manual and automated test cases based on business and technical requirements (Mandatory).

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical fields such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
  • 8 -12 years of experience in software testing, with a strong background in both Manual and Automation testing
