Position Overview
The Autodesk Technical Advisory Consulting team is seeking a talented and dynamic individual to lead a team of Business Consultants in North America. The Technical Advisory Consulting Manager will focus on two primary areas: energizing a team of highly skilled professionals who are helping to redefine the AEC industry, and positioning services with customers to guide business development processes for a portfolio of customers. This position is home-office based and can be conducted anywhere in the U.S. (access to a major airport is preferred).

Responsibilities
Directly manage a team of AEC-focused consultants across North America
Ensure team members perform to the highest level of quality and professionalism
Plan for consultants' development and training based on current and anticipated demand in skills and individual career growth aspirations
Demonstrate excellence in strategic thinking, engagement planning, business process optimization, and communications
Responsible for overall successful delivery and execution of projects for the Geo
Ensure the team is producing high-quality outputs and deliverables
Attend key customer meetings and lead workshops
Act as an escalation point of contact for internal teams and customers
Escalate to senior leadership or customer executives when sponsorship is needed
Proactively manage engagement schedules and staffing plans with Consulting Delivery leadership
Monitor account performance using dashboards and reports (e.g., delivery run rate, consumption, risk indicators) and intervene early when accounts are at risk
Lead and/or participate in the development of new and expanded offerings as part of a comprehensive consulting delivery portfolio
Track progress toward renewals and ensure proposed plans are strategic and transformational
Collaborate with Account Teams to drive business development opportunities for consulting services within a portfolio of accounts
Interface with Account Teams, Sales Managers, Technical Sales Engineers, Customer Success Managers and Project Managers for pre-sales consulting requests
Advise on project estimating of proposed solutions and participate in business development activities
Recommend resources on pre-sales engagements and AS contracts
Manage and guide consulting booking processes related to service renewals
Conduct contract reviews and monitor service utilization during post-sales execution of the account portfolio
Create and review effort estimations (scoping) for EBA renewals and mid-term add-ons including
Early involvement with resource management to ensure the technical capabilities needed exist for IS contracts
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related degree (Master’s degree preferred)
Must have at least seven (7) years of hands-on experience in the AEC industry with at least three (3) years of experience working directly with BIM solutions, products, and standards (Autodesk products highly preferred)
Prior experience in all facets of managing a team. Experience managing a remote team preferred
Demonstrated initiative and ability to drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues
Proven ability to work with diversified technical, sales, and project management teams
Ability to work independently and/or guide other team members to meet deadlines
Must have a solid working knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and how to operate under structured project management
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience conducting workshops, facilitating meetings, and delivering effective presentations to teams and customers
Must be able to break down complex topics into a common language understandable by non-technical/business-oriented audiences
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including international travel
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of AEC industry practices and processes
Advanced experience development and enabling BIM workflow process between architects, engineers, contractors, and owners
Experience leveraging Autodesk products such as BIM 360/ACC (all modules), Revit, Civil3D, Autodesk Navisworks, Infraworks, etc.)
Experience in developing and sustaining a portfolio of customers
