Cross-Border Trade (CBT) is a significant growth driver for PayPal, connecting merchants and consumers across the globe. We are seeking a results-driven Manager of Cross-Border Trade (CBT) to help shape our global cross-border business. In this high-impact and high visibility role, you will be responsible for help to drive the company's CBT strategy worldwide, ensuring strong alignment across functions, BUs, and markets, to ultimately deliver growth and commercial outcomes for our merchants and customers worldwide. This role is based in Singapore and reports to the VP, International Cross-Border Trade. The CBT core team includes a diverse set of profiles including strategy, PMO, finance, analytics and will play a critical role in driving collaboration, accountability and outcomes across key cross-functions including commercial and product teams.

  • Build and manage relationships with key external stakeholders.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial services, payments or e-commerce.
  • Proven success in international and highly matrixed organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.

  • Is responsible to grow the cross-border payment operations, ensuring financial performance is aligned with company objectives.
  • Orchestrate end-to-end execution of global CBT initiatives, from ideation through to program management and measurable commercial impact, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
  • Establish global tracking and reporting frameworks to monitor the performance of CBT initiatives and provide visibility into commercial outcomes for key stakeholders
  • Establish PMO frameworks and governance structures to ensure project alignment with business objectives
  • Coordinate cross-functional timelines and dependencies across multiple workstreams
  • Implement standardized reporting mechanisms and performance tracking systems

Lead Market Development:

  • Partner with internal product and technology teams to enhance existing solutions and develop new products that cater to cross-border needs.
  • Drive the adoption of PayPal’s cross-border capabilities by working closely with business development and sales teams to attract and support key merchants.
  • Coordinate launch activities across marketing, sales, and product teams for new market entries
  • Design and implement pilot programs to test market viability and optimize product-market fit
  • Establish feedback loops with early adopters and key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement

Drive Cross-Functional Engagement

  • Be an internal advocate for CBT, fostering a shared vision and driving collaboration across the organization.
  • Build strong alignment across market leadership teams, global product teams, and regional business units to ensure cohesive definition and execution of CBT strategies.
  • Build and manage relationships with key external stakeholders as needed, including processors, international financial institutions, industry partners.
