Job Description

This part-time Marketing Intern role at NBCUniversal in Auckland, New Zealand, requires a 9-month commitment from February to November 2026. The intern will support the Senior Marketing Manager and wider teams across Media, Promotions, Publicity, Partnerships, Creative, Social & Exhibition. Responsibilities include administrative tasks, contributing to campaign ideas, assisting with presentations, proof-reading, research, managing marketing briefs, and supporting media, promotions, creative, and exhibition activities. Candidates must be currently studying for the duration of the internship and submit a cover letter.
Good To Have:
  • Adobe Photoshop or Canva experience.

  • Currently undertaking university study in a marketing-based discipline.
Must Have:
  • Commit to a 9-month part-time internship (Feb-Nov 2026).
  • Must be studying at university for the internship duration.

  • Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel).

Job Description

General/Team support

  • Report into the Senior Marketing Manager.
  • Support the wider team across Media, Promotions, Publicity, Partnerships, Creative, Social & Exhibition.
  • General administrative and event support at screenings and premiere events on an ad hoc basis.
  • Reception duties one day per week.

Admin / Marketing Duties:

  • Attend weekly WIPs.
  • Actively contribute to campaign ideas and brainstorm.
  • Attend film screenings on an ad hoc basis .
  • Assist in pulling together presentations for both internal and head-office stakeholders.
  • Proof-reading documents.
  • Undertake any research needed for a campaign.
  • Set up Marketing Brief templates and add key dates.
  • General administrative assistance as required.
  • Assist with SAP and POs.
  • Other duties as required.

Media

  • Collate proof of in-market advertising and TV Spotlists.
  • Compile post campaign wrap reports; writing an overview and adding a media PCA, promo wrap POPs and timelines.
  • Manage and track MBAs, POs and invoice coding.
  • Draft awards submissions.
  • Manage trailer reports, data and create dashboards from agencies, MDE and Just Watch.
  • First draft of Spend Trackers for WB films (lead to check).

Promotions:

  • Manage merch orders for upcoming films.
  • Brainstorm and help with the implementation of promotional concepts and rollout.
  • Compile wrap reports for 6mth reviews.
  • Assist with MX Passes.

Creative and Exhibition:

  • Download and organise film trailers for viewing sessions, and assisting in creative selection.
  • First drafts of creative copy pointers and social co-op.
  • Release day checks across exhibitor websites and social channels.
  • Develop social plans and roll out with exhibition.

Qualifications

Basic requirements

  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Adobe Photoshop or Canva experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Well organized with great prioritization skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Excellent communication and a great team player
  • Creative
