Job Description

NBCUniversal is seeking a part-time Publicity and Partnership Intern for a 9-month commitment from February 2026 to November 2026 in Auckland, New Zealand. This role supports the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, assisting with general team support, administrative and marketing duties, publicity, partnerships, and social media tasks. The intern will contribute to campaign ideas, compile reports, coordinate influencer gifting, and assist with event planning. Applicants must be currently studying and submit a cover letter.
Good To Have:
  • Adobe Photoshop or Canva experience.
  • Passionate about film and movies.
  • Currently undertaking university study in a marketing-based discipline.
Must Have:
  • Report into the Publicity, Partnerships & Social Manager.
  • Support the wider team as required.
  • Perform reception duties one day per week.
  • Attend weekly WIPs.
  • Actively contribute to campaign ideas and brainstorms.
  • Attend film screenings on an ad hoc basis.
  • Assist in pulling together presentations for internal and head-office stakeholders.
  • Draft creative copy pointers and social co-op.
  • Proof-read documents.
  • Undertake research needed for campaigns.
  • Provide general administrative assistance.
  • Assist with SAP and POs.
  • Chase and collate proof of in-market advertising, social coverage, and reviews from critics, media, and influencers.
  • Compile post-campaign wrap reports; writing an overview and adding POPs.
  • Coordinate influencer gifting from ideation through to execution.
  • Assist with Preview Screening/Premiere planning and execution.
  • Assist with Junket preparations for approved outlets on a film-by-film basis.
  • Chase and collate proof of in-market partnership activity across digital, social, in-store, and activations.
  • Brainstorm and help with the implementation of partnerships concepts and rollout.
  • Compile post-campaign wrap reports upon the conclusion of each partnership.
  • Assist with populating our owned channel social calendars.
  • Brainstorm bespoke social content for use across owned social channels.
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail.
  • Be well organized with great prioritization skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and be a great team player.
  • Be creative.
  • Must be studying for the duration of the internship.

Qualifications
