Responsabilités et tâches

  • Modélisation créative allant du concept art à la mise en œuvre dans le jeu.
  • Travailler en collaboration avec le directeur artistique et les artistes conceptuels pour comprendre les intentions artistiques et mettre en œuvre des modèles de haute qualité.
  • Travailler avec les artistes techniques et les animateur·rice·s pour fournir des solutions prêtes pour l'animation.
  • Penser de manière créative et rechercher des références pertinentes dans diverses sources, afin de résoudre les défis artistiques quotidiens.

Qualifications recherchées

  • Capacité à dériver un modèle low poly bien structuré à partir du modèle high poly.
  • Bonne compréhension de la disposition efficace des UV pour les objets low poly.
  • Expérience avec le PBR.
  • Expérience de l'application et de l'ajustement des shaders.
  • Compréhension des contraintes techniques du développement de jeux et capacité à les appliquer lors de la création d'armes et de gadgets.
  • Forte éthique de travail, autodirection et vision artistique.
  • Solide connaissance de la sculpture numérique - dans ZBrush ou un logiciel équivalent.
  • Connaissance des outils de conception graphique (Photoshop, Marmoset, Substance Painter and Blender)

  • Maîtrise des outils d'édition et de développement de jeux vidéo.

  • Solides compétences en matière de communication et de collaboration avec les membres de l'équipe dans plusieurs disciplines.

Qualifications souhaitées

Position - Hard Surface Modeler

We are looking for a passionate Hard Surface Modeler to join the Haven Entertainment Studios project team. The candidate will work in collaboration with many teams, such as Concept art, Animation, Rigging, Game Design, etc. to ensure high quality and consolidate the visual direction with the design intentions.

Reporting

The Hard Surface Modeler will report to the Producer.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Creative modeling going from concept art to in-game implementation.

  • Work in collaboration with the Artistic Director & the Concept Artists to understand the artistic intentions and to implement high quality models.

  • Work with technical artists and animators to deliver ‘animation’ ready solutions.

  • Think creatively, and search for relevant references from various sources, to solve daily artistic challenges.

Experience and skills required

  • Ability to derive a well-structured low poly model from the high poly model.

  • Strong understanding of efficient UV layout for low poly objects.

  • Experience with PBR.

  • Experience applying and tweaking shaders.

  • Understanding of the technical constraints in game development and ability to apply them when creating weapons & gadgets etc;

  • Strong work ethic, self-direction and artistic vision

  • Solid knowledge of digital sculpting - in ZBrush or equivalent software;

  • Knowledge of graphic design tools (Photoshop, Marmoset, Substance Painter and Blender)

  • Proficient in videogame editing & development tools

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with team members across multiple disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong expertise of UE5.

  • A sharp eye for UX design and a passion for visual communication.

  • A highly creative and innovative spirit.
