This role involves researching, designing, developing, implementing, and debugging automated mass production test equipment for camera and depth module applications. The engineer will design critical electrical and optical metrology to meet design requirements for calibration and testing. They will define requirements and specifications for test systems, document procedures, and develop software to control hardware, process images and data, and calibrate image and depth performance. Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to integrate test heads into automated test equipment is required. The role includes leading vendors, providing technical support, and analyzing data for optimization. This role requires reviewing software code, circuit schematics, and 3D CAD for potential issues.

Job Details

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Research, design, develop, implement, and debug automated mass production test equipment for camera & depth module applications. Design critical electrical & optical metrology to meet design requirements for calibration and test. Define requirements and specifications of test systems. Perform documentation on requirements, calibration & test flow, hardware configurations and image/data processing software pipeline. Develop and deploy software that controls test hardware, process images & data, and calibrate image & depth performance. Work with Apple internal teams and external vendors to integrate multi-functional test heads into mass production automated test equipment. Lead the vendors and provide technical support for equipment setup, debugging of the system, failure analysis, volume data analysis and performance optimization. Review software code, circuit schematics, 3D CAD of test hardware & fixtures to identify potential glitch and performance issues. International Travel Required 25%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. \n\nPAY & BENEFITS: Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
