Job Description

Univision Arizona is seeking a dedicated Multimedia Technician to provide technical production and promotional support for live broadcasts, news, and commercial productions across TV, radio, digital, and local events. This role involves camera work (studio and field), video editing, and audio knowledge. The technician will work with news producers on graphic rundowns for live broadcasts and other control room technical requirements. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, be proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, adapting to various production positions.
Good To Have:
  • iNews, VizRT and news gathering tools are a plus.
Must Have:
  • Attend all editorial meetings, understand rundowns, and manage studio set and equipment daily.
  • Operate boards for radio studios as needed for giveaways and special programming.
  • Edit programming/videos for shows, special material for promotions and social media.
  • Aid in setup, production, and tear down of special events and remotes.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe CC Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition) or other editing software.
  • Green screen and studio production environment knowledge.
  • Proficient in written and oral Spanish and English.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • Must be willing to work from the office in Phoenix, AZ.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

Univision Arizona is seeking a dedicated Multimedia Technician to join our team! The Multimedia Technician is responsible for providing the technical production and promotional support for live broadcasts, news and commercials productions including TV, radio, digital and local events. This position requires the ability to do camera work (in studio and on field), editing video is preferred and audio knowledge a plus. Work with news producers to create and review graphic rundowns for live broadcasts among other technical requirements in the control room. Most importantly, the perfect candidate should have a good attitude, be proactive and work well in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.

ABOUT YOU:

You are well versed in usage of television and radio studio production and can adapt to multiple positions during the week all under the multimedia production environment.

Detail oriented with ability to work with tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

YOUR DAY TO DAY:

  • Attend all editorial meetings, understand the rundowns, and execute along with managing studio set and equipment daily.
  • Board operates for radio studios as needed- giveaways and special programming.
  • Edit programming/videos for shows, special material for promotions and social.
  • Aid in setup, production, and tear down of special events, remotes, as needed.

YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree or equivalent exposure to TV Production, Communications or Digital Media.
  • Preferred 2 years of production experience with different types of broadcast media (video, audio, and graphics).
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe CC Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition) or other editing software.
  • Green screen and studio production environment knowledge
  • iNews, VizRT and news gathering tools are a plus.
  • Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • PC and MAC computer skills.
  • Proficient in written and oral Spanish and English.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License, proof of insurance and a clean driving record.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be willing to work from office in Phoenix, AZ
  • Employment/education will be verified
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Physical Requirements (Optional)

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, edit, reach, and sit for up to (8) hours
  • Ability to Lift 50lbs
