Job Description

We are seeking a Night Manager to join our team in Hounslow, United Kingdom. As the Night Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing hotel operations during the night shift, ensuring guests have a pleasant experience. This includes managing the night team, handling guest arrivals and departures, resolving issues, conducting nightly audits, coordinating with departments, ensuring security, and preparing reports for the day shift. You will also be responsible for training new team members and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The role requires strong leadership, customer service, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and time management skills. Computer literacy is essential. Experience in hospitality or hotel management is preferred. The hotel has 307 rooms and offers 24/7 bar and restaurant facilities.

Job Description

Calling all night owls! We're on the hunt for a stellar Night Manager (M/F/X) to join our nocturnal crew in Hounslow, United Kingdom. As the guardian of the graveyard shift, you'll be the captain of our midnight ship, steering us through the wee hours with a mix of professionalism and pizzazz. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to ensure our guests have sweet dreams and our hotel runs like a well-oiled machine when the rest of the world is snoozing.

  • Orchestrate your merry band of night-time heroes, including front desk wizards, security superheroes, and housekeeping ninjas
  • Be the friendly face that greets late-night arrivals and early-bird departures, turning potential grumps into happy campers
  • Channel your inner superhero to tackle any midnight mayhem or unexpected adventures that come your way
  • Crunch numbers like a mathlete during the nightly audit, keeping our financial records as tidy as a perfectly made bed
  • Play matchmaker between departments, ensuring everyone's on the same page for a harmonious hotel experience
  • Be the keeper of the hotel rulebook, making sure everyone plays nice and follows the guidelines
  • Don your detective hat to keep a watchful eye on building security, because safety never sleeps
  • Craft legendary tales (aka reports) to pass on to the day shift, ensuring no exciting nocturnal news is left untold
  • Transform into a wise owl, imparting your night shift knowledge to fledgling team members
  • Sprinkle a dash of charm and warmth throughout the hotel, creating a cosy atmosphere that feels like a home away from home (but with room service!)

Qualifications

 

  • Night owl experience in hospitality or hotel management (bonus points if you've mastered the art of looking fresh at 3 AM)
  • Leadership skills that would make a pack of wolves proud
  • Customer service skills so good, you could sell ice to polar bears
  • Decision-making abilities faster than a cat on a hot tin roof
  • Problem-solving skills that would make Captain America jealous
  • Communication skills that could charm the socks off a centipede
  • Time management skills that would impress Father Time himself
  • Computer literacy (because even night managers need to be friends with technology)
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred, but we won't hold it against you if your degree is in Vampire Studies)
  • First Aid certification (preferred, because sometimes our guests need more than just a metaphorical plaster)
  • Hotel operations knowledge so comprehensive, you could write "Hotels for Dummies"
  • Health and safety regulation understanding (because nobody wants to play "spot the hazard" at 2 AM)
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays (sorry, no time-turners provided)
  • Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanour, even if aliens landed on the roof
