Applied Materials is seeking a Non-Technical Project/Program Management II to drive high-quality operation KPI delivery within the Applied Global Services (AGS) Business Unit. This role involves supporting the Field Service Organization (FSO) by establishing alignment, enabling effective communication, and coordinating Strategic Program Office (SPO) initiatives. The successful candidate will bridge HQ changes with field teams, provide business intelligence from data, and facilitate productivity improvements. They will execute cross-functional programs, manage risks, and drive operational excellence through process improvements and data analysis to ensure global project success and KPI achievement.
Must have:

  • Engage with customer engineers, Service Managers, Site Managers for global project success.
  • Bridge HQ initiated changes with field team, ensuring timely adoption.
  • Participate in HQ major projects (CRM, QRAM, TKM, P&L) design discussions.
  • Communicate field team adoption of changes and provide feedback for CIP ideas.
  • Provide internal data and convert it into business/operation intelligence.
  • Forecast revenue/GM%, market share, and growth opportunities for service business.
  • Coordinate Taiwan FSO productivity improvements.
  • Facilitate region-level productivity discussions with aggressive targets.
  • Work with FSO managers to adopt best known methods and benchmarking practices.
  • Execute cross-functional programs for FSO transformation, efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Manage program risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Execute process improvements in field service delivery, logistics, and customer support.
  • Analyze data to clarify KPI root causes and support process standardization.

Business Environment

Applied Materials AGS (Applied Global Services) Business Unit is responsible for driving our business of equipment installation and warranty extended management, as well as business of maintenance support, refurbishment, upgrades, etc. Our AGS team collaborates with a lot of critical customers to predict & solve manufacturing challenges, and make equipment & factories more productive. This makes our AGS team become trusted business partners for our customers which results in revenues increase year over year globally.

What You’ll Do

This role will focus on high quality operation KPI delivery. This is accountable for supporting the FSO (Field Service Organization) in establishing a cadence and alignment to enable the organization to successfully deliver its KPIs. The role will enable effective communication across the FSO teams as well as other internal local and HQ stakeholders to help drive organizational priorities and deliver the DOW. Now we are looking for a PM to coordinate and implement SPO programs (strategic program office). This role needs to highly engage with customer engineers, Service Managers or Site Managers for best solutions to support and facilitate the success of global projects and KPI delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bridge HQ initiated changes with field team: representative of Applied Materials Taiwan to join HQ major projects (ex. CRM, QRAM, TKM, P&L), participate HQ design phase discussions and communicate field team to adopt changes timely. Continuously feedforward/feedback CIP ideas with HQ and field team, with successful change managements/program implementations
  • SME of providing internal data and convert data into business/operation intelligence, provided FSO management and sales team with forecast revenue/GM%, market share, opportunity to grow service business.
  • Coordinator of Taiwan FSO productivity improvements, facilitate region level productivity improvement discussions with aggressive target set, work with FSO managers to adopt productivity improvement BKM as well benchmarking practices across Taiwan sites.
  • Good communication skill which help to discuss with HQ for CIP with valid business reason, also communicate with field team to understand the real intends and changes properly
  • Strategic Program Management:
  • Execute cross-functional programs that support FSO transformation, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Manage program risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Execute process improvements across field service delivery, logistics, and customer support.
  • Analyze data to clarify KPI root causes and support process standardization.

Required Capabilities

  • Quick learner: the ability to quickly make sense of and organize ambiguous situations
  • Partner with stakeholders to achieve and accomplish

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years (above) knowledge of semiconductor customers and peer equipment companies. Experienced in customer service (ex. CE), or cross functions rotation experience (ex. order management, business operation, spares operation, finance, contract management or relevant) is preferred.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, build relationships, and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong tactical discipline; coordinate and respond quickly to requests
  • Good communication (written and verbal), organization, and influence skills
  • Data analysis skill: MS Excel (ex: advanced functions, pivot tables)
  • Personality with positive, proactive, detail-oriented, and responsible
