On-device ML Infrastructure Engineer (ML Execution)

We are building an end-to-end developer experience for ML development that, by taking advantage of Apple’s vertical integration, allows developers to iterate on model authoring, optimization, transformation, execution, debugging, profiling and analysis. This role focuses on the technical alignment of the tools and APIs for execution, debugging and profiling models on-device. We’re looking for a highly motivated senior software engineer with a proven track record of providing high quality developer tools and APIs in the fast paced and dynamic space of ML. In this role you will be providing technical guidance across our ML Execution stack, out side the boundaries of your own team: ensuring infrastructure, tooling and APIs for model compilation performance analysis and inference execution support all client needs and use cases from a common general workflow to highly flexible and specialized ones. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Design, build, and maintain critical infrastructure that powers Apple’s on-device machine learning features - Identify, prioritize, design and implement solutions to address developer pain points, feature requests and feedback - Provide technical direction and implementations that ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of Core ML - Collaborate with cross functional partners on technical roadmaps and align project goals to maximize impact and quality of Apple’s on-device ML capabilities
