The On Site Representative supports the planning and training of operator analysts (OA) activities for CWES and UOTS exercises. This role involves coordinating site activities and personnel to meet training objectives, planning with leadership, allocating resources, and providing supervisory oversight. The representative will instruct, demonstrate, and provide information on CWES and UOTS systems operations, ensuring effective training and exercise execution.

Must Have:

  • Coordinate with the training audience
  • Develop and maintain OA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Train OAs on the CWES/UOTS system
  • Train Observer Controller Trainers (OCTs) on the CWES/UOTS system
  • Oversee the development of the ORBAT for CATS METRIX
  • Attend all exercise meetings as required
  • Direct OAs and support OCTs in monitoring and analyzing events for After Action Review (AAR) products
  • Understudy and fulfill the role of Senior OSR if absent
  • Provide support in the coordination of trend analysis as required
  • Prepare, initiate, and run exercises in UOTS
  • Be available for shift work and overtime beyond 40 hours per week during exercise periods
  • Complete a 3-month probationary period
  • Ensure simulation equipment is ready and available for training (0800-1600, M-F)
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent, plus two years’ experience in military operations, training, and procedures
  • Proof of legal right to work in Canada and secret security clearance from the Canadian Government
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • May be required to travel periodically, both nationally and internationally

Job Summary: The On Site Representative reports to the Senior On Site Representative and supports the planning and training of all operator analysts (OA) activities for CWES and UOTS exercises. They must be able to coordinate the activities and personnel of the site in order to meet the training aims / objectives of the training audience. This involves planning with the training leadership, allocating resources to meet the tasks, and providing detailed supervisory oversight and direction. They will be required to instruct, demonstrate, and provide information on the operations of the CWES and UOTS systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinator and supervisor for OAs and Technical Service Technician (TST) to include their administration.
  • Coordinator with the Training audience.
  • Responsible for development and maintenance of OA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Responsible for training the OAs on the CWES/UOTS system.
  • Responsible for training Observer Controller Trainers (OCT) on the CWES/UOTS system.
  • Oversee the development of the ORBAT for CATS METRIX.
  • Attend all exercise meetings as required.
  • Direct OAs and support OCTs in monitoring and analyzing events in order to provide After Action Review (AAR) products.
  • Understudy and fulfill the role of Senior OSR if absent.
  • Provide support in the coordination of trend analysis as required.
  • Prepare, initiate, and run exercises in UOTS.
  • May be required to fulfill other duties as required.
  • Shift work and overtime beyond 40 hours per week required during exercise periods.
  • Require a 3-month probationary period.
  • Ensures that the simulation equipment is ready and available for training with core working hours of 0800 hours to 1600 hours, Monday to Friday, local time.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Four year college degree or equivalent, plus two years’ experience in working knowledge of military operations, training and procedures. or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to analyze training and create AAR products.
  • Able to multi-task to include running multiple technological systems concurrently.
  • Very familiar and comfortable using computers and associated hardware.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Proof of the legal right to work in Canada and secret security clearance from the Canadian Government.
  • Requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Requires the ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • May be required to travel periodically, both nationally and internationally. Prefer prior military experience.
  • Combat Arms (Infantry, Armor, Artillery and Engineer, Experienced with AARs, and bilingual in English/French.

Cubic Pay Range:

$1.00 - $1.00 + benefits.
