It’s a really exciting time to be at Space Ape Games. We’ve created a fast-paced environment that promotes genuine autonomy and we have projects at all stages of the development cycle. We launched our hit music game, Beatstar, in 2021 and we’re following its success with Countrystar less than two years later. We also officially launched our first puzzle game last year, Chrome Valley Customs, and we’re preparing to scale this game to global success. On top of all this, we’re running several mature live games and working on some exciting new projects behind the scenes!

This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to manage multiple performance marketing channels, contribute to early-stage game development, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth. You’ll be joining a small, agile UA team at a key moment in the company’s journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Media Buying & Campaign Management: Oversee campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Google Adwords, and other channels to maximise performance and ROI.
  • Creative Testing & Development: Work closely with internal teams to develop and test new creatives for campaigns, optimising for engagement and performance.
  • Planning & Executing A/B Tests: Design, implement, and analyse A/B tests to refine strategies and drive results.
  • Rapid Idea Testing Framework: Build and manage a framework to quickly test new ideas and optimize campaigns for growth and innovation.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work effectively with game development teams, art teams, and business intelligence to ensure cohesive strategies and goals.

Requirements

  • A passion for numbers and data-driven decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience in performance marketing, ideally across multiple channels.
  • A creative, innovative mindset with a willingness to take ownership of projects.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work seamlessly with various teams across the studio.
  • Experience in testing frameworks, media buying, and campaign management.

Since then our five games have been played by over 170m people, generated half a billion in revenue but we're just getting started. Space Ape was voted Best Game Developer, and Beatstar Game of the Year in the 2022 Pocket Gamer Mobile Game Awards in BAFTA London (April 2022). Its game lead Charmie Kim won Best Newcomer at the DEVELOP Awards (July 2022), and it was short listed as one of Google Play User Choice Awards (Dec 2021). Space Ape won Mobile Developer of the Year in the Pocket Gamer Awards (2023).
