Job Description

This internship offers a role within an experienced planning team at a leading fabless semiconductor company. The intern will learn to manage assembly and test loadings at global subcontractors to ensure timely customer order fulfillment at minimal cost, fastest cycle time, and optimal inventory. Responsibilities include coordinating production issues, collaborating with global engineering, test development, and quality teams, participating in cross-functional projects, providing management reports, and managing WIP and inventory in Oracle. The intern will also lead projects to automate Supply Chain Metrics using PowerBI and routine tasks with RPA.
Good To Have:
  • Related semiconductor assembly and planning experience.
  • Good knowledge of IT, Oracle, and Microsoft tools.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI, Powerquery, Power Automate, and/or RPA.
Must Have:
  • Manage assembly and test loadings at global subcontractors.
  • Fulfill customer orders timely, at minimal cost, fastest cycle time, and optimal inventory.

Being a member of experienced planning team for a leading fabless semiconductor company, you will learn how to manage assembly and test loadings at subcontractors located globally, so as to fulfil customer orders timely at minimal cost, fastest cycle time and optimal inventory level.

What You Can Expect

The primary responsibilities of a fabless planners include but not limited to the followings:

  • Take leadership role in coordinating issues relating to production that impacts customer order fulfilment
  • Work closely with the global teams from engineering, test development, quality and others disciplines
  • Participate in cross-functional projects
  • Provide status reporting to management
  • Responsible for all WIP and inventory reporting by subcontractors in Oracle system

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to spearhead two mini projects:

  • Define and automate Supply Chain Metrics using PowerBI, Power query & Power Automate: You will first develop a good understanding of the supply chain functions and the database to determine useful metrics or reports / dashboards that will greatly enhance supply chain efficiency and productivity and improve & standardize information sharing among various organizations in Marvell. You will write programs using BI tools to analyse the data and present it in an easy to understand and consistent way.
  • Automate routine tasks using RPA (Robotic Process Automation) & PowerBI. You will partner with IT personnel and experience planners to explore and define use cases for pilot project using RPA to automate repetitive and routine planning tasks. Goal is to improve productivity, efficiency and accuracy in addition to eliminating tedious manual work by planners and streamlining supply chain operations.

What We're Looking For

  • A good degree in engineering or Information Technology specializing in data analysis.
  • Preferably with related semiconductor assembly and planning experience
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Able to assist in system enhancement, preferably with good knowledge of IT, Oracle and Microsoft tools. Knowledge of PowerBI, Powerquery & Power Automate and/or RPA will be advantageous.
