We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our Risk Intelligence division within the Digital Identity & Fraud (DI&F) Platform team. In this role, you will work closely with multiple development teams to build and enhance our latest platform offering for Digital Identity flagship products. You will help key business stakeholders translate their vision into reality by owning architecture, design, security, collaboration, agile development, 3rd party vendor API integration and delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, problem-solving abilities, and extensive experience with .NET Core or Java and cloud platforms. You will be a key player in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable microservices-based applications in a fast-paced and agile environment.
Must have:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance APIs consumed by third-party customers for fraud prevention, identity verification, and account validation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Own the delivery of critical platform capabilities, working autonomously and with little direction; ensure the timely completion of work from other team members, delegating work when required and mentoring others.
  • Design, develop and socialize microservices based distributed systems utilizing cloud-native architecture.
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, growing own network and collaborating with other teams.
  • Communicate complex / technical information clearly and concisely in an audience appropriate format.
  • Ensure code quality by adhering to SOLID principles, design patterns, and using static and dynamic code analysis tools such as SonarQube and Coverity.
  • Work in an agile environment, contributing to SCRUM and Kanban workflows to meet tight delivery schedules.
  • Document the code structure, technical designs, and development processes for future reference.
  • Build and deploy containerized solutions using Kubernetes and Docker for cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Work with architects to decompose a solution into Epics.
  • Lead design decomposition and planning for Epics breaking them down to journeys with product owners and quality leads.
  • Proficiency in .NET Core 6+ with C# or Java.
  • Experience with multi-threading, exception handling, and ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework Core or JPA.
  • Strong data modeling and SQL skills with PostgreSQL/MySQL.
  • Familiarity with JUnit, NUnit.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP.
  • Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of SonarQube, Coverity.
  • Experience with SCRUM, Kanban, TDD.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage dynamic priorities.
  • Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts and designs to non-technical teams.
