SimCorp is seeking an experienced Principal Project Manager/Program Manager with leadership qualities to manage complex and strategic client projects. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of software implementation projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and client specifications. The manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage client deliverables, implementation teams, and individual contributors, focusing on providing greater customer value and reducing risk. This position reports to SimCorp North America Project Management.
Must have:
  • Manage complex and strategic client projects, overseeing planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Lead project execution to provide greater customer value and reduce risk for SimCorp.
  • Oversee and drive requirements and configuration build in projects, applying new Services and standards.
  • Manage implementation-related workstreams, identifying tasks, dependencies, and providing status updates.
  • Collaborate with implementation teams, individual contributors, and other Engineering and Product management roles.
  • Meet delivery milestones and manage project risks.
  • Manage stakeholder complexity internally.
  • Contribute to improvement and documentation of best practices for implementation projects globally.
  • Create and maintain required project artifacts such as project plan, reports, and RAID change requests.
  • Apply industry standard project management techniques to define and manage scope and risks/issues.
  • Establish and manage transparent project governance structure and adhere to standard processes.
  • Manage delivery on time, budget, and quality in accordance with the Statement of Work.
  • Clearly communicate business challenges, risks, and issues to customers.
  • Effectively solicit customer feedback and enable informed decisions using data and metrics.
  • Set and manage client expectations and actively manage project financials.
  • Display confidence in presenting to all organizational levels and understanding the audience.
  • Be open to new things, learn from mistakes, and remain motivated by changes.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US

We are looking for an experienced Principal Project Manager/Program Manager with leadership qualities to manage complex and strategic client projects. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software implementation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet client specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation.

You will manage client deliverables, implementation teams, individual contributors, and other Product management roles as part of project management. This is a role in North America reporting to SimCorp North America Project Management.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Responsible for all aspects of SimCorp Dimension implementation projects with primary focus on high complexity projects/programs and clients in terms of client engagement, resource and financial management, and stakeholder complexity.
  • Leading project execution with a focus on providing greater customer value and outcomes while better measuring and reducing risk for SimCorp.
  • Overseeing and driving requirements and configuration build in a project, where we apply new Services and standards
  • Manages implementation-related workstreams in the project, identifying all required tasks, dependencies, working with business consultants to time/resource estimate for inclusion in the overall program plan, as well as providing regular status updates.
  • Collaborating with implementation teams and individual contributors, as well as other Engineering and Product management roles, as part of project management
  • Meeting milestones for delivery as well as overviewing and managing risks
  • Managing stakeholder complexity internally
  • Contributing to improvement and documentation of best practices for implementation projects globally in collaboration with Global PMO
  • Creating and maintaining required project artefacts such as project plan, reports and RAID change requests
  • Applies industry standard project management techniques in a services organization to define and manage scope and risks/issues.
  • Establishes and manages transparent project governance structure and adheres to standard project management processes and procedures.
  • Manages delivery on time, budget, and quality relative to the baseline project plan and associated financials and in accordance with the Statement of Work.
  • Clearly communicates business challenges, including risks and issues, to our customers. Effectively solicits customer feedback and puts the customer in a position to make informed decisions using data and metrics.
  • Demonstrates the ability to set and manage client expectations and actively manages project financials.
  • Displays confidence in presenting to all levels in an organization and understanding the audience when communicating.
  • Is open to new things and learns from mistakes. Sees the opportunities in changes and remains motivated by them.
  • Acts as a mentor and coach to less experienced colleagues.
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites within the US or Canada as needed

WHAT WE VALUE

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver multi-stream projects in complex business environments
  • SimCorp Dimension implementation experience is beneficial
  • Preferred to lead projects on the West Coast
  • PMI/PMP/Prince 2 or equivalent certification
  • Knowledge and experience with SimCorp Dimension and/or implementation of SimCorp Dimension or similar solutions
  • Solid understanding of investment operations
  • Familiarity with implementation focused projects in the Financial Technology sector
  • Proficient leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficient negotiation, persuasion and conflict management skills
  • Ability to work on projects in different Time Zones
  • Fluency in English
  • Readiness to travel to customer sites with flexibility to work from home or remote from our offices

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is 161,000.00 - 242,000.00 USD. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave, and retirement plans. Your total compensation may vary based on role, location, department and individual performance.
