Job Description

SS&C seeks a Private Equity Senior Fund Accountant with 2+ years of experience in fund accounting, preferably within the Private Equity field. Strong knowledge of Bloomberg, financial reporting, and financial products (equities, futures, fixed income) is essential. Proven ability to work in a team and excellent client relationship management skills are required. Prior experience with training, delegating tasks, and reviewing work is a plus.

Private Equity Senior Fund Accountant

What You Will Get To Do:

  • Maintain all financial data in the investment database
  • Post all journal entries and prepare monthly trial balance reports
  • Reconcile all cash received from investors and investments
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Calculate capital calls and distributions
  • Allocate income to partners in accordance with terms of partnership agreements
  • Prepare and issue monthly/quarterly financial reporting
  • Maintain and update investment data (number of shares, location of securities, country of origin)
  • Manage relationships with clients and counterparties and handle queries
  • Assist with implementation of new clients and special projects

What You Will Bring:

  • Post-secondary degree is required – Accounting or Finance preferred
  • CPA and/or MBA are strong pluses 
  • 2+ years related experience in fund accounting preferably within the Private Equity field 
  • Strong knowledge of Bloomberg, financial reporting and financial products (ie: equities, futures, fixed income) 
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team 
  • Excellent client relationship management skills 
  • Prior experience training, delegating tasks, and reviewing work is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong organizational skills   
  • Must be able to interact with others at various levels
