Job Description

FOX Factory designs, engineers, manufactures, and markets performance-defining products and systems for customers worldwide, primarily for bicycles, vehicles, and trucks. This role, Production Control Planner 2, oversees the creation of daily build plan reporting and other planning/maintenance reports. It supports production control by issuing and tracking work orders, ensuring material supply to the production floor, expediting parts, and maintaining scheduled dates. Must have:
  • Oversees daily creation of reports required by the planning department.

  • Support the execution of both short term (0-4 weeks) and long term (4-12 weeks) production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of all customer orders.
  • Analyses capacity planning and material requirements advising Sales of push outs.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, purchasing personnel, etc. on material status and production planning issues.
  • Approves and implements deviations from schedules and ECNs.

Position Summary:

Oversees creation of daily build plan reporting as well as other planning and maintenance reports. Supports production control in issuing and tracking work orders, ensuring that required material is supplied to the production floor, as well as expediting and prioritizing parts through the factory and maintaining scheduled dates on work orders.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees daily creation of reports required by the planning department.
  • Data input for maintenance details of the items and work orders using manual input and data up loads.
  • Support the execution of both short term (0-4 weeks) and long term (4-12 weeks) production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of all customer orders.
  • Analyses capacity planning and material requirements advising Sales of push outs.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, purchasing personnel, etc. on material status and production planning issues.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proven track record of quality/continuous improvement initiatives
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • High attention to detail

Position Qualifications:

Education:

Associate’s degree

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Experience:

5+ years hands on experience in manufacturing environment

Prefer experience with purchasing, expediting, MRP/ERP systems

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Office Environment

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
