This role involves managing a production team or process, ensuring product quality, production yield, and timely deliveries. Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with quality guidelines, managing production schedules, and implementing process improvements. The supervisor will also mentor leaders, monitor performance, and communicate effectively across teams. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field, 3+ years of supervisory experience, and be bilingual in Spanish and English.

  • Degree in Economics, Administration, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years in supervisory or engineering roles in operations.
  • Experience in the Medical Device Industry.
  • ISO 13485 and Yellow Belt training.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Training in Production and Inventory Management.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Job Description

Manage a team of Production Workers, a Production Unit or a production process and take responsibility for the quality of the products produced, the production yield and the timeliness of the deliveries.

Your role:

  • Maintains a safe work environment, initiates safety improvements, and supports environmental, health, and safety (EHS) projects. Ensures compliance with Quality Policy and GMP guidelines.
  • Keeps manufacturing procedures current, trains employees on updates, tracks daily attendance and training records, and manages NCR evaluations and follow-ups.
  • Plans and schedules production tasks to meet deadlines, prioritizes orders, recommends staffing adjustments, and balances labor across areas. Manages WIP inventory to ensure material availability and production continuity.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements, proposes cost-saving initiatives, develops decision-making tools, and promotes DPMO tracking and reduction.
  • Mentors manufacturing leaders, sets KPIs, monitors performance, delivers reviews, and communicates policies, expectations, and updates clearly across teams and stakeholders.

  • Education & Experience: Degree in Economics, Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related field, with 3+ years in supervisory or engineering roles in operations.
  • Industry Knowledge & Certifications: Experience in the Medical Device Industry (e.g., Operator, Water Spider, Training Department), with ISO 13485 and Yellow Belt training.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficient in MS Office with strong problem-solving capabilities and training in Production and Inventory Management.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish and English.
