The incumbent is attached to the FPGA and ASIC Development Business Department. The incumbent also has a strong functional link with the Project Team Managers for whom they intervene.
The position is part of a global context with high competitiveness stakes on advanced technological solutions and in some cases with DO254/DO160 aeronautical certification constraints. The position evolves in a highly critical domain in terms of safety requiring regulations/standards and strong mastery of hardware reliability.
This key role consists of piloting the execution of ASIC designs, specifically in a context of managing the obsolescence of historical components. Your expertise will be essential to ensure compliance with DO-254 DAL A certification, thus guaranteeing the sustainability and reliability of our critical products.
As Project Manager for ASIC and FPGA obsolescence, your main missions will be:
- Project Management and Partner Monitoring:
- Coordinate and monitor activities of ASIC design, manufacturing, and qualification with our partners.
- Establish and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and performance indicators.
- Ensure fluid and regular communication with partners and internal teams (engineering, quality, purchasing).
- Identify and proactively resolve technical, logistical, or planning issues.
- ASIC Obsolescence Management:
- Implement proactive obsolescence management strategies for critical ASICs, in line with component lifecycles.
- Anticipate obsolescence risks and propose solutions (redesign, search for alternative sources, last-time buy - LTB).
- Ensure documentation and traceability of obsolescence-related actions.
- DO-254 DAL A Compliance:
- Guarantee that all design monitoring and obsolescence management activities rigorously comply with the requirements of the DO-254 DAL A standard for airborne electronic hardware.
- Participate in drafting and validating certification documents and compliance proofs.
- Ensure full traceability of requirements, from design to verification and validation.
- Prepare and participate in certification audits.
Profile:
You have a Bac+5 degree (engineering school or equivalent) or higher (Doctorate) in the field of embedded electronics as well as 5 to 10 years of experience.
The position requires the following knowledge:
- Experience in technical project management, ideally in the field of semiconductors or embedded electronics.
- Solid understanding of the ASIC lifecycle and microelectronic design processes.
- Significant experience and knowledge of the DO-254 standard.
- Familiarity with the challenges of electronic component obsolescence management, particularly for ASICs.
- Knowledge of products in one of our avionics domains: civil and military computers, displays? That's a plus!
- Ability to evolve in an international context (spoken and written English).
Leadership, communication, conviction, autonomy, initiative, rigor, analytical and synthesis skills, team spirit, and collaboration are qualities you are recognized for?
