Job Description

IMS Nanofabrication is seeking a Project Purchaser to transform their procurement function. Responsibilities include identifying and analyzing project requirements, preparing inquiry and tender documents, communicating with procurement colleagues, ensuring requirements are defined for production readiness, meeting supply requirements during project execution, monitoring change activities to protect against supplier claims, identifying and reporting on issues, and managing all project procurement functions including purchasing, contracting, supplier document control, and material management. The role involves advising R&D teams and working with a dedicated team to develop the procurement area.
Must have:
  • University degree in technical/commercial field
  • Min 5 years experience in similar position
  • Set up and manage projects across departments
  • Experience with Project Management methods
  • Experience with Risk Assessment methods
  • Analyze bills of material and drawings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive problem-solving approach
  • Excellent English and German (written/spoken)

Job Description

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in the transformation process of our procurement function. With your knowledge and passion for procurement, you will work with a dedicated team to further develop the area.

  • Identifying and analyzing project requirements and advising our internal R&D teams
  • Preparation of inquiry and tender documents based on the project scope and material strategy
  • Communicate clearly with procurement colleagues to ensure timely responses
  • Ensure all requirements and specifications are defined when moving items from 'sample' to 'production ready'
  • Meeting supply requirements during project execution
  • Monitor change activities to protect the company from potential supplier claims
  • Identifying issues quickly and accurately and reporting on status and actions required
  • Manage all Project Procurement functions including purchasing, contracting, supplier document control and material management for assigned projects

Qualifications

  • University degree in a technical or commercial field (Bachelor or Master)
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a high-tech-environment
  • Ability to set up and effectively manage projects across departmental boundaries
  • Experience with the use of Project Management methods and tools
  • Experience with Rist Assessment and Management methods and tools
  • Ability to analyze bills of material and drawings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to build relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Proactive approach towards problem solving
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and German

With us you will receive an attractive annual gross salary from 63.000 € (plus bonus, KV Metallgewerbe). Depending on your experience, this can also be higher.
