Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance test analyst/Engineer with a background in financial software/markets/instruments. The role involves working within the LCH team, part of a leading UK investment and financial services company, and being responsible for the QA of clearing, post trade, reconciliation, and data solutions. Responsibilities include ensuring software testing best practices are applied, participating in project planning, and communicating effectively to all levels of the organization. The role requires understanding of financial markets, testing of financial software, and automation and manual testing for multi-tier, on prem and cloud based integrated solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, communication, and attention to detail skills, along with the flexibility to learn new technologies.
Must have:
  • Analyze software and quality requirements and document test plans
  • Assess and report on software risk and release readiness
  • Automation and manual testing for multi-tier solutions
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and test automation frameworks
  • Experience with build and test integration tooling including Jenkins, GitLab
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong testing concepts
  • Strong attention to detail
Good to have:
  • Testing automation tools and frameworks
  • Basic Linux Knowledge
  • Familiarity with Cloud concepts
  • MSFT Office
  • Agile methodologies, Scrum

Role Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance test analyst\Engineer with a background in financial software/markets/instruments.

Working within the LCH team, part of a leading UK investment and financial services company, you will be responsible for the QA of clearing, post trade, reconciliation, and data solutions.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Ensure software testing best practices and quality standards are consistently applied throughout the delivery life cycle.
  • Actively participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyse requirements and estimates of work.
  • Align to business and technical priorities and understand customer requirements.
  • Present and communicate effectively to all levels of the organisation including technical and non-technical audiences, leadership, and management.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Analyse software and quality requirements and document test plans
  • Assess and report on software risk and release readiness.
  • Automation and manual testing for multi-tier, on prem and cloud based integrated solutions.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and working with test automation frameworks
  • Experience with build and test integration tooling including Jenkins, GitLab
  • Understanding of financial markets, experience testing financial software a plus
  • Test automation experience for web and API solutions, working with scripting languages Java and selenium-based test automation frameworks would be a plus
