Job Description

This hybrid Regional Sales Manager position in Brasilia is responsible for managing and growing Thales' public sector business segment. Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic plans to achieve revenue targets, building relationships with federal agencies, leading business development, managing existing government accounts, representing the company at industry events, monitoring public sector trends, and leading a high-performing team focused on the public sector market.
Must have:
  • Experience in public sector sales, business development, or account management
  • Proven executive-level experience managing government relationships
  • Established network and relationships within Brazilian government agencies
  • Track record of successfully closing complex, high-value deals with government entities
  • Advanced understanding of public procurement processes and compliance requirements
  • Ability to translate government needs into effective solutions
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Fluency in Portuguese
  • Fluency in English

Position Summary

Responsible for managing and growing our public sector business segment.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue targets in the government sector.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in federal agencies and public institutions.
  • Lead business development efforts, identify opportunities, and secure new contracts.
  • Manage existing government accounts and ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Represent the company at industry events and government forums.
  • Monitor public sector trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on the public sector market.
  • Participate in executive leadership decisions affecting company-wide strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in public sector sales, business development, or account management.
  • Proven executive-level experience managing government relationships.
  • Established network and relationships within Brazilian government agencies.
  • Track record of successfully closing complex, high-value deals with government entities.
  • Advanced understanding of public procurement processes and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to translate government needs into effective solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English required.
