Job Description

The Resource Allocation Senior Analyst will be part of the global Treasury organization, supporting Resource Allocation and Risk Management initiatives. Responsibilities include collaborating with senior management to evaluate capital investments, preparing business analyses of investment projects, and conducting post-completion reviews to ensure financial returns and value creation. The role also involves supporting PHINIA’s resource allocation software and processes, along with involvement in financial risk management, including the foreign currency hedging program and insurance coverage programs. This role works closely with manufacturing operations on the approval process for capital projects, perform detailed analysis to evaluate project cost assumptions, and prepare a summary package for senior management to evaluate proposals.

Job purpose

This role will be a member of our global Treasury organization and will be responsible for supporting Resource Allocation and Risk Management initiatives. Resource Allocation responsibilities will include working closely with senior management in evaluating proposed capital investments. Preparing business analyses of investment projects and post-completion reviews to ensure that corporate investments provide adequate financial return and create value. In addition, supporting PHINIA’s proprietary resource allocation software and processes. This position will also be involved with certain areas of PHINIA’s financial risk management initiatives, with responsibilities to include supporting the foreign currency hedging program and the various insurance coverage programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with manufacturing operations on the approval process for capital projects
  • Perform a detailed analysis to evaluate project cost assumptions
  • Prepare a summary package for senior management to evaluate proposals
  • Maintain the Company’s in-house proprietary discounted cash flow analysis and capital appropriation software tools
  • Perform a post completion review on a sample selection of previously approved projects to determine if expected financial result have been achieved
  • Analyze foreign currency exposures and recommend appropriate hedging strategies
  • Prepare month end mark to market revaluation for foreign currency derivatives
  • Support the Senior Manager, Treasury on the annual insurance program renewal as needed
