Location: Munich, DE
We are looking for you as soon as possible as
Sales Lead Newsstand & Subscription (All genders welcome!)
for our team in Munich.
Focus: Responsibility for sales strategy, reach, revenue growth & budget control
As Sales Lead Newsstand & Subscription (All genders welcome!), you will take on a key role in shaping the future sales of our globally renowned magazine brands – including VOGUE, AD, Glamour, GQ, and Condé Nast Traveller. You will be responsible for developing and managing strategic measures that strengthen both market penetration and sales and revenue targets – including pricing, POS strategy, and cross-channel revenue optimization.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for budget planning, control, and sales controlling to financially secure all measures and manage them strategically efficiently.
Your Responsibilities
- You lead and develop the team in the single sales & subscription area.
- You are responsible for the cross-brand sales strategy with a special focus on increasing revenue, price development, budget optimization, and performance-oriented measures.
- You develop strategic sales concepts that intelligently combine editorial identity, target group potential, and market conditions – with a focus on single sales, but transferable to other channels such as subscriptions or export.
- You take on budget responsibility for your area: You plan, control, and monitor sales budgets and forecasts, develop scenarios, and optimize the use of funds based on economic KPIs.
- You analyze sales, IVW, and market data and derive concrete forecasts, pricing models, and business cases that contribute to secure target achievement and revenue scaling.
- You identify growth levers and efficiency potentials, develop measures for their exploitation, and manage their implementation – right up to the POS.
- You work closely with our sales partner MZV.
- You strategically support special editions, launches, and PoS campaigns and cooperations – from positioning to quantity calculation.
- You network internally with editorial, marketing, finance, and production to secure the commercial goals of our brands across all channels.
Your Profile
- You have at least 5 years of experience in strategic magazine sales – preferably with a focus on price and quantity control, POS, market development, and budget responsibility.
- You have initial leadership experience or proven project responsibility and see yourself as an integrative team player.
- You have profound experience in budget planning, economic controlling, and the operational management of sales budgets.
- You have a deep understanding of sales systems, media markets, and consumer behavior in both print and multichannel areas.
- You can develop strategies from data: IVW, sales figures, returns, benchmarks – for you, these are not abstract numbers, but drivers for action.
- You are entrepreneurial, analytical, and brand-conscious – with a keen sense for target group relevance and brand-appropriate pricing.
- You bring a leadership mentality: You don't just think along, but ahead – and provide impulses for economic success.
- You work independently, structured, and are looking for an environment that combines creative freedom with brand power.
- Good English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken.
What we offer you
- A strategic key role with real impact on brand reach, POS visibility, and sales success.
- Close collaboration with experienced sales experts, editorial teams, and production.
- An inspiring, creative work environment in a globally leading media company.
- Flexible working hours & home office regulations.
- Access to further training and individual development paths.
- Very good public transport connection.
- Attractive benefits.
