The role requires developing sales strategies, pursuing new business with railway operators, OEMs, and maintenance providers, managing customer relationships, contract negotiations, market analysis, and reporting to senior leadership.

Sales Manager - French Railway Sector

How You'll Make a Difference

In this strategic sales management position, you will establish a trusted advisor relationship with our external customers, internal teams, and industry partners. You will collaborate with Wabtec's sales and technical teams to engage key customers in the French railway sector, focusing on friction materials such as brake shoes, pads, and related components. The purpose of this role is to oversee business growth and market penetration for our friction material solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker adept in sales and business development. Responsibilities include exploring new business opportunities in the French railway market, conducting comprehensive market research, mapping customer needs for friction material solutions, establishing local customer relationships, serving as the main interface for customers, and managing all aspects of sales accounts.

Your Typical Day Involves:

  • Developing comprehensive sales strategies
  • Pursuing new business opportunities with:
    • Railway operators
    • Original Equipment Manufacturers
    • Maintenance service providers

  • Managing customer relationships
  • Conducting contract negotiations
  • Performing market analysis
  • Reporting to senior leadership
