Dun & Bradstreet is seeking a Senior Bigdata Engineer to analyze and develop systems for their core services hosted in legacy Datacenters, AWS, and GCP. Responsibilities include developing the Big Data Platform, writing unit tests, and performing pull request reviews. The role involves collaborating with Development, SRE, and DevOps teams to translate business requirements into scalable and performant solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about Big Data, has a development and problem-solving mindset, and can contribute to continuous improvement of technology solutions.
Must have:
- 7+ years of experience in commercial software development in an agile SDLC.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data and performance issues.
- Proficiency in distributed processing systems (Spark/Hadoop).
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Scala.
- Experience in ETL tools and data pipeline orchestration (Airflow).
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions like BigQuery.
- Ownership mindset, problem-solving, curiosity, and proactiveness.
- Fluency in English and relevant market languages.
Good to have:
- Cloud-based technologies such as AWS/GCP experience.
- Cloud certification.

The Senior developer will analyze and develop systems that support Dun & Bradstreet’s core services hosted in legacy Datacenters, AWS, and GCP. Duties include Software Development of our Big Data Platform, ensuring you develop Unit Test for your code and collaborate in performing daily Pull Request Reviews. The right candidate is passionate about Developing and curious about Big Data Platforms with a development and problem-solving mindset. This role will collaborate with Development, SRE and Devops teams to translate business requirements and functional specifications into innovative solutions implementing performant, scalable program designs, code modules and stable systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable, distributed software systems and work on other projects that require research, awareness, interactivity, and the ability to ask the right questions.
- Design, develop, debug, support, maintain and test software applications.
- Work closely with other teams across a wide breadth of applications and solutions.
- Assist SME in providing consultation to help ensure new and existing software solutions are developed with insight into industry best practices, strategies, and architectures; and pursue professional growth.
- Help improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews.
- Recognize opportunities for continuous improvement to a technology solution whether it’s optimizing the performance of the system or identifying tech debt.
Key Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience developing commercial software in an agile SDLC environment.
- Strong understanding of triaging data & performance issues with strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to explore, analyze and interpret large datasets.
- Cloud-based technologies such as AWS/GCP, certification good to have.
- Proficiency in distributed processing systems such as Spark/Hadoop and programming skills such as Python, Scala.
- Experience in ETL tools and data pipeline orchestration Frameworks such as Airflow.
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases is essential and familiar with data warehousing solutions such as Big Query.
- Show an ownership mindset in everything you do; be a problem solver, be curious and be inspired to take action, be proactive, seek ways to collaborate and connect with people in support of driving success.
- Where applicable, fluency in English and languages relevant to the working market.
