Role Profile

• As a Platform Automation Engineer within the Infrastructure & Cloud team at LSEG, you will play a pivotal role in developing, managing, and optimizing Cloud Products and Patterns. Working under the direction of the Azure Products Development Tech Lead, you will collaborate with both senior and junior platform engineers to ensure efficient and effective cloud infrastructure deployments. This role involves applying sophisticated cloud technologies and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools, like Terraform, to improve our cloud offerings.

Tech Profile/Essential Skills

• Proficient in using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools, specifically Terraform, to build and manage cloud resources optimally.
• Experienced in setting up and configuring CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for Terraform deployments.
• Strong understanding of Cloud Native technologies, with a focus on Azure as the primary platform.
• Well-versed in Agile/Scrum methodologies, contributing actively to project planning and execution.
• Demonstrated ability to approach challenges with an open and innovative attitude, with a strong drive to build new tools and solutions that enhance user experience, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ability to solve complex systems and automate solutions.
• Ability to write clear and concise documentation for tools and processes.
• Strong communication skills to work with multi-functional teams.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with additional cloud service providers (AWS or Google Cloud Platform) is helpful along with Azure.
• Ability to stay current with technology trends, experimenting with new tools and sharing knowledge within the team.
• Skilled in enhancing cloud productivity frameworks to deliver secure, robust, and scalable solutions.
• Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, Yaml.

Education and Professional Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, crucial for effective teamwork within a team setting.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Azure Products Development Tech Lead and other team members to develop and refine cloud solutions.
• Use Terraform and other IAC tools to ensure consistent and efficient deployment of cloud resources across multiple environments.
• Support the integration of cloud solutions with existing systems, ensuring they meet the strategic business needs.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, contributing to the continuous improvement of workflows and project work.
• Research and analysis of the latest technology trends with AI, ML, AIOps, MLOps, MCPs, AI/ML Frameworks, Model Trainings to adopt the ongoing developments with AI.
• Share technical expertise with both senior and junior team members, helping to guide project direction and resolve sophisticated technical challenges.
