ICN8 is the largest 8“integrated circuits wafer fab in Europe. It is a high-tech environment with many multi discipline challenges, housing over 450 manufacturing tools (ASML, ASM/TEL, Applied Material, LAM) and 150 measurement tools (inline inspections, end of inline testing). Products are made in CMOS, BIMOS, RFCMOS and SOI processes. New processes are being developed and transferred to our fab, which enable further growth.
Responsible for the investigation, checking, controlling and improving of the defectivity levels in current and new processes within ICN8 manufacturing ( 8 ”Fab).
You will join the Defectivity group which is part of the PSE organization. This Process Sustaining and Enhancement (PSE) organization is part of ICN8 and has the responsibility to improve and maintain the running process technologies.
The PSE section aims to realize robust and controlled production processes within ICN8 manufacturing, as well as to improve the processes in the field of costs, cycle time, environment, yield and quality, in order to strengthen ICN8's competitive position.
Yields in integrated circuit manufacturing are for a large part determined by the presence of defects. Your responsibility is the successful management of the top ICN8 defectivity problems. Together with tool process and equipment engineers your challenge is to successfully control and/or reduce defects levels.
Activities include optimizing defect inspection strategies, implementing best known methods for the use of the available defect inspection technology tool set as well as supporting the Defectivity employees in the fab.
Responsible for and Implementing and establishing a base-line Defectivity improvement process within the ICN8 organization.
Supports the ICN8 organization in order to make the right decision together with the metrology section about the purchase of new defectivity inspection or review tools
Master’s degree in applied science, Physics, Electronics or other relevant technical area.
