Job Description

As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you'll be part of a high-performing team that brings ideas to life with clean, scalable code and beautiful, intuitive interfaces. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in modern front-end ecosystems - think React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS - and who’s passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test responsive, accessible, and highly interactive user interfaces using React.js

  • Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to turn ideas into seamless digital experiences

  • Write clean, modular, and maintainable code using modern JavaScript best practices

  • Optimise applications for performance, speed, and scalability across various devices and browsers

  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning sessions

  • Contribute to and maintain our front-end design systems and component libraries

  • Continuously improve our front-end tooling, workflows, and best practices

Qualifications

About You

  • 6+ years of professional experience in front-end development

  • Strong proficiency in React.js and core JavaScript (ES6+)

  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and styling frameworks (SCSS, CSS Modules, or styled-components)

  • Experience integrating with REST APIs and handling asynchronous data

  • Familiarity with build tools like Webpack, Vite, or Parcel

  • A strong grasp of component-based architecture and front-end design patterns

  • Comfortable using Git and working in an agile, collaborative team environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with TypeScript

  • Experience with .NET (powerweb/premier etc)

  • Familiarity with state management tools (Redux, Zustand, Recoil)

  • Exposure to testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)

  • Awareness of accessibility (a11y) standards and performance optimisation techniques
