We are seeking a dynamic and talented individual to join our People Function Team at Marsh McLennan Mexico. This position will be based in our Mexico City office and will have national responsibilities across the country. This is a hybrid role, requiring at least three days a week in-office or on-site with clients and prospects.
Senior HR Manager México
As a HR Manager you will coach, support and advise People Managers, aiming to develop and enhance the quality of people management throughout the colleague lifecycle. The role of the HR Manager therefore has a direct and positive impact on the quality of the colleague experience across Marsh & McLennan.
We will count on you to:
- Under the guidance of the Lead HR Manager, the HR Manager is aligned to a specific group of People Managers who are likely to come from businesses and functions across Marsh & McLennan. Our aim is to provide consistent high-quality support for People Managers regardless of the business or function.
- Will work with other HR Managers to exercise flexibility in resource to accommodate flexibility in demand.
- Provide day-to-day advice across all aspects of the colleague lifecycle.
- Will also be key to the deployment and adoption of new processes or initiatives which are aimed at People Managers.
- Understand and reflect the local market perspective whilst respecting the value of enterprise-wide alignment where appropriate.
- Provide valuable insights to the Centers of Expertise which will inform the development and prioritization of initiatives, programs and project designed for colleagues and/or People Managers.
- Provide guidance on local issues, including works council and legislative and regulatory regulations which relate to employment.
- Coach, support & advise leaders and collaborators on their needs on HR issues.
- Implement people and talent initiatives aligned with business goals and strategies to ensure superior organizational performance can be achieved.
- Acts as an advisor on people strategies to the business, this role collaborates with managers and leaders to support initiatives.
- Collaborate with COEs, to implement and evaluate initiatives and plans that result in increased organizational effectiveness, engagement, leadership performance and the overall colleague experience.
- Implement organizational re-design in anticipation of evolution in the business as a result of changing client expectations and requirements.
- Contributes to the talent management strategy to support employee engagement for the business/geography in partnership with the Talent Management Center of Expertise; Assesses training needs, guides leaders through talent review and succession planning process, and coach managers on how to be more effective developers of people.
- Participates in other various HR Practices including hiring, disciplining and firing employees, conducting performance evaluations, career development discussions for team members, approving salary and bonus actions, and ensuring appropriate orientation and on-going education/training.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in HR as a Generalist alongside a requirement for suitable qualifications.
- Solid communication skills both in Spanish and English
- Highly driven and motivated individual
- Demonstrated ability to coach People Managers and leaders effectively at all levels of the business through all steps of the employee life cycle including in more complex situations.
- Experienced in working in a matrix preferable in a multinational organization.
- Able to identify opportunities to make improvements to the service provided by the HR team.
- Experience of successfully supporting project/initiative implementation across a population of managers, recognizing the broader business objectives and perspectives across multiple business lines.
- Experience in supporting managers with employee relations case management.
- Thorough understanding of local laws, regulation and company policies and HR processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to connect with colleagues in business and in wider HR including CoEs and People Partners when required.

- Learning orientation: Learn and grow self.
- Project Management previous experience/background would be a plus.
- Exceptional time management and being able to manage multiple priorities at the same time.
