The EA Technology Growth Strategy team creates the future-looking tech strategy for EA to evolve, respond to changing needs and build an innovation-focused environment to invent the future of video games.
Summary
As Senior Product Manager, you will report to the Head of Product and help build our innovation strategy by connecting the work of our SEED applied research team with the game teams at EA. You will promote and demonstrate the value of the team’s research and identify opportunities to apply innovations with partner teams. You will also work with EA’s game teams to identify new avenues of exploration to bring about new and transformative experiences. You will define projects and deliverables, track experiment and pilot plans, and contribute to an overall strategy to bring our future into existence at EA.
Responsibilities
Lead, execute and evangelize our research roadmap of frontier technologies to determine the future of video games
Work with game teams to understand their strategic needs and identify opportunities to address them with research projects
Stay current with the latest research in relevant technologies and propose projects for inventing new technology with high impact
Collaborate with research team to plan experiments and share results with working demonstrations
Partner with teams to apply our innovations to their products: define requirements and user stories, and prioritize features based on impact and value
Facilitate integration of mature technologies into EA’s platforms and pipelines
Work with a diverse set of partners, including research, central engineering, and game development teams
Qualifications
5+ years in product management, experience launching new products and scaling existing products
Technical background with experience working with research and engineering teams, and a record of delivery
Experience with AI and machine learning research and application
A scientific and data-driven approach to development
Experience translating and negotiating between research concepts and business goals
Presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences to both explain and rally action
Demonstrated conflict resolution skills, can mediate to overcome risk and roadblocks
Experience with and passion for video games is a big plus
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $151,800 - $208,900 CAN Annually
California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): º $170,500 - $259,300 USD Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
