Job Description Summary:

The Senior Program Manager is a pivotal role responsible for managing the successful delivery of Rocket solutions through effective program management. The role focuses on aligning program components with organizational strategy to deliver tangible benefits and value.

The Senior Program Manager will manage high-profile, cross-functional programs within a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring that each program contributes to the organization's strategic objectives. Additionally, the Senior Program Manager will play a critical role in establishing the metrics and KPIs necessary to measure and optimize program performance.

This position requires a seasoned leader with a strong understanding of program management principles, capable of navigating complex environments, managing risks, and optimizing resources across multiple programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for the assigned program portfolio, ensuring each program aligns with Rocket’s organizational goals, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure that all program components are strategically aligned and contribute effectively to program objectives.
  • Lead the development and adoption of metrics and KPIs to measure program performance, ensuring that these indicators align with the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Partner with CSE Project Managers and CSE Delivery Engineering in Professional Services to optimize resource allocation across the program portfolio, resolving constraints and conflicts to maximize program efficiency.
  • Drive the identification, documentation, and application of lessons learned across programs, promoting continuous improvement and the development of best practices.
  • Provide leadership and direction to program teams, ensuring that they are aligned with program objectives and motivated to achieve high performance.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, building strong relationships among program team members, stakeholders, and other cross-functional team members across CSE (Professional Services).
  • Mentoring and supporting Project Managers assigned to workstreams that roll up to the program.  Consolidating and summarizing information from such Project Managers to contribute to program level reporting.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive stakeholder engagement plans, ensuring clear communication and alignment with program objectives.
  • Manage cross program timelines, dependencies, decisions and constraints

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 15 years industry experience in the software industry including as a Program or Project Manager
  • Bachelors degree and Masters or equivalent experience
  • Current  program/project management certification from PMI or equivalent organization, ie PFMP or PGMP
  • Strong Program Management skills and experience and ability to apply correct tools and processes when needed; experience with Smartsheet highly preferred
  • Demonstrated success mentoring and supporting other less experienced Project Managers
  • Experience working with senior executives and managing stakeholder communications and expectations
  • Hardworking teammate and collaborator with strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with a diverse customer base and across geographies

The base salary range for this role is $112,718.00 - $140,897.50 /year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
