Job Description

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join a growing team and to support testing initiatives in conjunction with the development of our software applications. This role is responsible for the automation of quality control and testing across the technology lifecycle, identifying and addressing issues in alignment with standards and technology strategy. The engineer will design, implement, and deliver automated test frameworks, perform automated testing, maintain existing frameworks, and track task progress. Ensuring the quality of our business systems is paramount, so our customers can get behind data that really matters.

Must Have:
  • Oversee technical implementation of quality control, testing, and analysis.
  • Develop technical testing programs throughout technologies’ lifecycles.
  • Lead quality control planning and execution activities.
  • Transform non-functional requirements into automated pipeline solutions.
  • Review and approve test plans and scripts.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all customer technology solutions.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to quality control frameworks.
  • Design, implement, and deliver automated test frameworks.
  • Perform automated testing to validate single-user experience.
  • Maintain existing automation frameworks.
  • Implement new test cases in Playwright.
  • Track and communicate task progress, status, and key performance metrics.
  • Identify, report, and actively handle defects via the defect tracking system.
  • Handle quality assurance testing and bug/fix resolution.
  • Collaborate with developers, business, and client specialists.
  • Analyze performance data.
  • Provide recommendations based on test results.
  • Monitor system and application performance.
  • Document processes and procedures.

This means we are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join a growing team and to support testing initiatives in conjunction with the development of our software applications. Ensuring the quality of our business systems is paramount, so our customers can get behind data that really matters.

Responsible for the automation of quality control and testing across the technology lifecycle, identifying and addressing issues in alignment with standards and technology strategy.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversees technical implementation of quality control, testing and analysis, providing guidance where issues arise.
  • Assigns required tests to Associate Engineer, Engineer and Senior Engineer as required.
  • Develops technical testing programmes throughout the entire technologies’ lifecycles which address performance, reliability and usability.
  • Leads a wide range of quality control planning and execution activities in alignment with the organisation's standards and strategy to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified business and customer needs.
  • Working with Product and Business owners to transform non-functional requirements into automated pipeline solutions
  • Reviews and approves test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and technology strategy.
  • Oversees the maintenance of all customer technology solutions, ensuring all issues are resolved on time.
  • Recommends and implements, as assigned, improvements to quality control frameworks, processes and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
  • ISTQB Core Advanced/Specialist Certified or equivalent
  • Exhibits strong knowledge in software quality assurance processes and methodologies
  • Exhibits strong experience in test automation, with knowledge of performance testing and manual testing.
  • Exhibits strong experience in the software development life cycle and one programming language, preferably in multi-tiered applications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and deliver automated test frameworks to maintain and improve the customer experience in terms of availability, performance, and usablity
  • Perform automated testing to validate the single-user experience remains performant
  • Maintain existing automation frameworks
  • Implement new test cases in Playwright in accordance with the project schedules
  • Track and communicate task progress, status, and key performance metrics
  • Identify, report and actively handle defects via the defect tracking system
  • Handle quality assurance testing and bug/fix resolution
  • Collaborating with developers, business and client specialists
  • Analysing performance data
  • Providing recommendations based on test results
  • Monitoring system and application performance
  • Documenting processes and procedure

Required Skills:

  • 7 + years experience with automation testing with Typescript/Javascript
  • Significant experience working with Playwright, Python
  • CI/CD, testing automation tools and frameworks
  • Agile methodologies, Scrum, SAFE
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Stays up to date with current tooling and technologies.
