Job Description

Join the IB Agency Trading team to support the buildout and delivery of customer's Ref Data platforms for Equity Agency Trading. This role involves developing and maintaining responsive web applications using React and TypeScript, collaborating with cross-functional teams, writing clean code, ensuring UI/UX feasibility, conducting testing, participating in code reviews, and communicating with backend developers while following Agile practices.
Must have:
  • Developing and maintaining responsive web applications using React and TypeScript

  • Proficiency in CSS3/Less
  • Clean coding skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in RESTful API design
  • Familiarity with agile development practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)
  • Good communication skills and the ability to clearly state requirements for the backend team

##### Project description

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You'll be working in the IB Agency Trading team, supporting the buildout and delivery of our customer's Ref Data platforms for Equity Agency Trading area. Agency Trading provides our customer's institutional clients with direct market access, algorithmic trading, and smart order routing services to achieve their Equity trading needs. The AT Core Platform team develops, maintains, and promotes core libraries, processes, and technologies to support various electronic trading platforms.

##### Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining responsive web applications using React and TypeScript;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features,
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code,
  • Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs,
  • Conducting unit and integration testing using tools like RTL and Cypress,
  • Participating in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
  • Communicating effectively with backend developers to align on API requirements,
  • Following Agile development practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban).

##### Skills

Must have

  • Expertise in HTML5 and JavaScript (ES).
  • Proven experience with React 17+, Typescript, Redux is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in React with Typescript proven track of engagement in long-term projects in React
  • Experience in testing UI applications (RTL, Cypress)
  • Proficiency in CSS3/Less (not being afraid to style applications).
  • Clean coding skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in RESTful API design.
  • Familiarity with agile development practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.).
  • Good communication skills and the ability to clearly state requirements for the backend team.

Nice to have

  • Experience in responsive design.
