Job Description

Mimecast is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer for its Incydr team to help enterprises protect critical data. This role involves advising prospects and customers on Mimecast’s security solutions, partnering with sales and customer success teams to demonstrate Incydr’s value in detecting and responding to insider risks. The ideal candidate thrives on autonomy, works at pace, and simplifies complex concepts, contributing to a culture of trust and collaboration while solving urgent cybersecurity challenges.
Must have:
  • Partner with Account Executives, BDRs, Channel Managers, and Marketing to exceed ambitious targets.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-value (POV) evaluations that turn prospects into customers.
  • Build trusted relationships with CISOs, IT Leaders, and Security/Compliance stakeholders by translating technology into business outcomes.
  • Represent the voice of the customer within Mimecast, and the voice of Mimecast to the customer.
  • Navigate ambiguity, design compelling solutions, and drive technical wins that create lasting impact.
  • Ensure all activities are aligned with Mimecast’s strict privacy, security, and compliance standards.
  • 5+ years’ SaaS experience.
  • At least 3 years in pre-sales engineering, consulting, or designing enterprise security systems.
  • Ability to translate complex technology into simple, compelling business solutions for technical and executive audiences alike.
  • Strong OS expertise (Windows, Mac, Linux) plus IT system skills in networking, systems management, and security.
  • A track record of success in fast-growth environments.
  • Solid knowledge of at least three of the following: DLP, CASB, EDR, Network Security.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA) a plus.

The OTE salary range for this position is £112,000 £168,000+ benefits. This reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. This position may also be eligible for incentive plans and other related benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. These factors and individual capabilities will also determine the individual pay offered
