Job Description

Autodesk is seeking a motivated, experienced, and skilled engineer to join their Connected Delivery platform team, responsible for enabling the discovery, download, and installation of Autodesk products. This role involves building resilient, scalable, and highly available full-stack applications. The ideal candidate will have led teams developing modern web experiences with cloud services in an agile environment. Responsibilities include designing and developing high-quality applications, participating in agile ceremonies, troubleshooting, identifying risks, conducting code reviews, interacting with customers, mentoring junior developers, and responding to escalated incidents.
Must have:
  • Design and develop high-quality, secure, performant applications
  • Participate in agile ceremonies of the Scrum team
  • Work closely with product manager and team to understand requirements
  • Troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently
  • Identify risk and propose mitigation strategies
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure new code conforms to highest standards
  • Interact with internal and external customers to resolve product defects
  • Mentor and develop junior developers
  • Respond to escalated incidents after hours or on weekends to ensure 24/7 availability
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing scalable, distributed applications
  • 3+ years deep experience in developing web applications using the React framework
  • Strong experience in object-oriented programming with languages like Java, TypeScript, JavaScript
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs using Microservices architecture
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, databases, and cloud architectures
  • Strong experience and understanding of working on Agile processes like SCRUM

Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a motivated, experienced and skilled engineer to join our Connected Delivery platform team. This platform is responsible for enabling the discovery, download, and installation of all Autodesk products and services. You'll be responsible for building a full-stack application that is resilient, scalable, and highly available. As an ideal candidate, you’ll have led teams developing modern web experiences with cloud services in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, and develop high-quality, secure, performant applications
  • Participate in agile ceremonies of the Scrum team
  • Work closely with the product manager and team to understand and elaborate on requirements
  • Work with team to troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently
  • Identify risk and propose mitigation strategies associated with the design
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure new code conforms to highest standards
  • Interact with internal and external customers to identify and resolve product defects
  • Mentor and develop junior developers
  • Respond on a rotational basis to escalated incidents after hours or on weekends to ensure 24/7 availability of our platform

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or a related technical field (an MS in Computer Science or a related degree is preferred)
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing scalable, distributed applications
  • 3+ years deep experience in developing web applications using the React framework
  • Strong experience in object-oriented programming with languages like Java, TypeScript, JavaScript
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs using Microservices architecture
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, databases, and cloud architectures
  • Strong experience and understanding of working on Agile processes like SCRUM
  • Strong, communication skills, and ability to influence without authority
