Job Description

Microsoft's Cognitive Service Platform team seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud services in a distributed environment. Responsibilities include creating new features, enhancing existing systems, writing clean and testable code, troubleshooting live-site issues, deploying fixes, improving system reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in large-scale distributed systems, proficiency in languages like C#, Go, Rust, Java, C, or C++, and a strong understanding of object-oriented design principles. The role involves ensuring security compliance and contributing to AI-driven solutions impacting millions of users. The position is full-time in Beijing, China.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field. At least 5 years development experiences in largescale distributed system.
Experience with object-oriented design principles.
Experience coding in languages such as C#, Go, Rust, Java, C, or C++.

Preferred:

Familiarity with microservices architecture, Kubernetes (K8s), and observability tools (e.g., logs, metrics).
Understanding of network protocols and cloud service architecture.
Strong collaboration skills and a passion for driving impactful results.

Responsibilities

As a software engineer, you will:

Design, develop, and maintain new features and enhance existing systems.
