With over 450 million users, we operate one of the world's largest Instant Messaging (IM) services.As a Senior Staff Backend Engineer in the Messaging team, you will be a technical reference for a dedicated team responsible for one of Truecaller's critical systems: the messaging platform. This includes the services to distribute: instant messages, business messages, and push messages.The impact you will create: * Champion the design, architecture, and development of high-performance, low-latency distributed systems.* Drive significant technical initiatives across multiple teams and business units.* Own the operational reliability and health of mission-critical services.* Foster innovation by exploring new solutions and technologies.* Set technical standards to guarantee high availability and responsiveness.What you bring in: * Expert proficiency with Go.* Proven track record of architecting large-scale, highly available, real-time distributed systems in a cloud environment.Expert proficiency of data structures and algorithms, with the ability to apply them to novel and ambiguous engineering problems.A strong history of leading the resolution of systemic, cross-cutting technical problems.* Mentoring/Leadership skills.* Excellent communication skills in English.* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.It would be great if you also have: * Experience building systems in the Google Cloud Platform.* Experience building and scaling a messaging platform.* Experience with Scala or JavaLife at Truecaller - Behind the code: https://www.instagram.com/lifeattruecaller/ Sounds like your dream job?We will fill the position as soon as we find the right candidate, so please send your application as soon as possible.
