Job Description

As part of the Infrastructure Processor unit, you will verify all circuitry within chips for general and specific customers. These chips utilize cutting-edge technology for high-speed data transfers, and you will ensure designs meet customer specifications for telecom or automotive companies. Your role involves architecting and developing UVM-based testbenches, defining verification plans, and leading debug efforts. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving verification processes and tools.
Must have:

  • Define and drive verification plans, test strategies, and coverage goals.
  • Collaborate with design, AMS, and validation teams to ensure functional correctness.
  • Lead debug efforts, root cause analysis, and regression triage.
  • Guide and mentor junior DV engineers in UVM methodology and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable verification components and infrastructure.
  • Continuously improve verification processes, tools, and automation frameworks

Infrastructure Processor Business Unit, a part of Networking and Processor Business Group, encompasses OCTEON and the award-winning OCTEON Fusion-M® product families. The SoC family of multi-core CPU processors and Radio Access SoCs offer best-in-class performance, low power, rich software ecosystem, virtualization features, and open source application support with highly optimized custom ARM CPU cores providing an excellent solution for a highly flexible end-to-end optimized 5G platform.

As part of the Infrastructure Processor unit, you will verify all of the circuitry that goes inside our chips for the general market and for specific customers. These chips use cutting-edge technology to facilitate data transfers at high speeds, and you will help verify that each design meets our customers’ specifications whether they’re a major telecom organization or automotive company, etc.

What You Can Expect

  • Architect and develop UVM-based testbenches for complex IP and SoC verification.
  • Define and drive verification plans, test strategies, and coverage goals.
  • Collaborate with design, AMS, and validation teams to ensure functional correctness.
  • Lead debug efforts, root cause analysis, and regression triage.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, EE or related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years in ASIC/SoC/IP design verification.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expert in UVM and SystemVerilog.
  • Strong understanding of digital and AMS verification flows.
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., VCS, Questa, Xcelium).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl) for automation.
  • Knowledge of SerDes, high-speed interfaces, or calibration is a strong plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
