Job Description

As a Senior Principal Switch Architect, you will be part of the Teralynx switch architecture team, contributing to the development of cutting-edge data center switch ASICs. Your responsibilities will include defining product architecture, behavioral modeling, performance modeling, and architecture validation. You will shape the next generation switch ASICs from concept to production, define new features and protocols, and collaborate with various teams for implementation and testing. This role requires deep knowledge of networking protocols and excellent problem-solving skills. This role involves significant collaboration across teams and geographies.
Must have:
  • 10-15 years of related experience or Master's/PhD.
  • Experience in architecting and verifying complex ASICs.
  • Deep knowledge of Layer 2/3 forwarding, QoS, and networking protocols.
  • Strong conceptual thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and geographies.
  • Knowledge of C / C++ and Python.

The Teralynx switch architecture team is responsible for the architecture of Marvell’s cutting-edge data center switch ASICs. This includes defining the Product Architecture, Behavioral Modeling, Performance Modeling and Architecture Validation among other tasks.

What You Can Expect

  • As part of the Teralynx Switch Architecture team, you will help shape our next generation switch ASICs from concept through development to production.  

  • Define new features and protocols for next generation switch chips

  • Collaborate with multiple teams to drive implementation and testing of switch features

  • Detailed Behavioral Modeling 

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 15+  years of related  professional experience OR Master’s / PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 10-12  years of experience.

  • Experience in architecting, designing and verifying complex ASICs

  • Deep knowledge and experience with Layer 2 / Layer 3 forwarding, QoS and networking protocols

  • Strong conceptual thinking, problem solving and communication skills

  • Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple teams and across multiple geographies

  • Knowledge of C / C++ and Python

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

177,380 - 265,700, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
